교회음악에서 전자오르간(electone)의 활용과 연주기법 연구

Religion and music have been closely related and developed together since the beginning of time. The base of Christian music is the Bible, the word of God, and Christians have a sort of mental attitude that they can honor and thank God through music. Musical instruments and church music have been tools for worshiping, praising, and proving God. However, in modern churches, musical instruments are often used with little understanding of them or of reasons for praise, and it poses risks of blurring the nature of church music and even secularizing Christian music. Therefore you have to thoroughly know correct instrument playing and arrangement skills, and you also have to be fully qualified as a performer or accompanist who leads worship music.
With the development of technology and the spread of computers, electronic instruments have been increasingly used in modern church music, as well as classical instruments, and electones are one of them. Worship music uses various musical instruments and consists of songs of various genres. When you arrange a piece of music and play it, it is necessary not to deviate significantly from the original version, and you have to be careful not to forget why you have chosen to use certain instruments. In addition, in order to play it effectively, it is very important to fully understand the characteristics of the instruments and set the tones of the instruments so that they fit the flow of the song.
An electone enables you to effectively arrange and play music with its various built-in functions and to replace several instruments and performers with one electone and one professional performer. Its good sound quality also helps you to perform as a “one-person orchestra.” Moreover, it is small enough to be played
in small churches.
I hope that more and more people will learn about electones’ development possibility and merits, and electones will be used in various genres of music as a unique electronic instrument. Also, I hope this study will be helpful when you play an electon as a professional performer at a church or concert.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

인간의 종교 생활과 음악은 태초부터 밀접한 관계를 갖고 함께 발전해 왔다. 기독교음악의 중심은 하나님의 말씀인 성경이며, 음악을 통해 하나님께 영광 돌리고 감사하는 것은 기독교인으로서 마땅히 가져야 할 마음의 자세이다. 과거에 악기는 하나님을 예배하고 찬양하며 증거 하는 도구였고, 현재도 그것이 바로 악기 사용의 이유이자 교회음악의 역할이다. 그러나 현대 교회에서는 찬양을 하는 이유나 사용되는 악기의 이해 없이 무의식적으로 사용되는 경우가 많으며, 이런 현상은 교회음악의 본질을 흐리고 세속화될 수 있는 위험성도 있다. 그래서 교회음악에서의 올바른 악기 사용법과 편곡법을 숙지해야 하며 예배음악을 이끄는 연주자 또는 반주자로서의 역할과 자질도 갖추어야 한다.
현대 교회에서는 클래식 악기들도 사용하지만 기술의 발전과 컴퓨터의 보급으로 전자악기들이 개발되면서 예배에 사용하게 되었고 그중 전자오르간(electone)도 점점 많이 사용되고 있다. 예배 시 사용되는 다양한 음악들은 다채로운 악기 구성과 여러 장르의 곡으로 구성되어 있으며 편곡을 통해 그것을 연주로 표현하기 위해서는 원곡을 크게 벗어나지 않도록 하며, 악기사용의 의미가 퇴색되지 않도록 조심해야 한다. 또 효과적으로 연주하기 위해서는 실제 악기의 특성을 충분히 이해해 곡의 흐름에 맞는 악기 음색의 세팅이 매우 중요하다.
전자오르간(electone)은 악기에서 바로 작업할 수 있는 편집기능과 악기 자체에 내장 되어있는 다양한 편의 기능으로 효과적인 편곡과 연주가 가능해 여러 악기들과 여러명의 연주자를 1대의 전자오르간(electone)과 1명의 전문 연주자로 충분히 대체할 수 있고 ‘1인 오케스트라’로 불릴 만큼 음질의 퀄리티 또한 높다. 경제적인 비용에, 예배에 필요한 모든 역할을 수행할 수 있는 악기이며, 악기의 크기가 작아 좁은 공간이나 소규모의 교회에서도 효과적인 연주와 반주가 가능하다.
앞으로 점점 더 디지털화되는 현대사회에서 전자오르간(Electone)의 발전 가능성과 장점을 더 많은 사람들이 알게 되어서 음악의 다양한 장르와 사회의 여러 분야에 사용되며, 독보적인 전자악기로 자리 잡을 수 있기를 기대한다.
