어휘부의 규칙성과 단어 형성 원리 : 명사형 접미 파생어를 중심으로 = A Study on the Regularity in the Lexicon and the Principles of Word Formation;For investigation of the Noun-Suffix Derivatives

국문 초록 (Abstract)

이 논문에서는 단어 형성 과정을 체계적으로 설명하기 위한 명시적인 기준으로 규칙적 기제와 유추적 기제를 사용하여 어휘부 모형에서 일어나는 잠재적 단어 형성 원리를 명사형 접미 파생어를 중심으로 살펴보았다.
1장에서는 연구의 목적과 대상, 방법, 그리고 논의의 전제를 간단히 제시하였다.
2장에서는 모든 언어 현상은 규칙의 지배를 받는다는 가정 아래, 단어 형성에 참여하는 기제들이 공통적으로 ‘규칙성’을 지니고 있다는 점을 포착하였다. 그리하여 기존에 사용되는 규칙과 유추의 정의를 새롭게 정비하였다.
3장에서는 어휘부를 언어 사용자가 지니는 머릿속의 사전으로 보고, 단어 형성과 관련된 모든 일련의 과정들이 이루어지는 어휘부에 대하여 살펴보았다. 규칙이 만들어지고 내장되는 단어 형성부의 위치에 따라 어휘부의 관계가 규칙과 유추로 달라짐을 확인하여 본고에서 상정하는 어휘부 모형을 제시하였다. 어휘부 안에서 이루어지는 단어 형성 결합 방식을 규칙과 유추의 통합작용으로 이끌어가기 위하여 본고에서 상정하는 규칙을 재정비하여 단어 형성부에 적용시켰다.
4장에서는 2장과 3장에서 단어 형성 원리와 어휘부 모형에 대한 고찰을 통하여 본고에서 상정하는 이론적 배경을 통하여 접미 파생법을 적용시켰다. 각각 단순형 파생, 어사형 파생, 혼합형 파생으로 이들이 어휘부에서 어떠한 단어 형성 과정을 거치는지 다수의 예를 통하여 확인하였다.
5장에서는 2-4장에서 논의된 것들의 결론을 모으고 그 한계와 앞으로의 연구 방향을 제시하였다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

In this paper, the principles of potential word formation were reviewed with noun-suffix derivatives by use of rules and analogy governed mechanisms in order to systematically explicate the process of word formation.
In chapter 1, I clarified purpose and objects, theoretical methods of approach, and the procedure of my research.
In Chapter 2, it was noted that mechanisms, which participate in word formation, showed regularity, on the premise that, all linguistic phenomena are under the rule of regularity. Accordingly, the existing rules and analogy were newly defined.
In Chapter 3, we regard the lexicon as 'mental lexicon' in order to narrow the gap between theory and practice, and an inquiry was conducted into lexicon, specifically, the part where words are formed in serial processes. It was confirmed that the lexicon was divided into rules and analogy according to the position of the word-formation part where rules are made and are inherent, whereupon the lexicon model was suggested. The regularity, presented in this study, was redefined with a view to derive the methods of word-formation and word-combination from the integration of rules and analogy.
In Chapter 4, a review was made on the principles of word-formation in Chapter 2 and the lexicon model in Chapter 3, and thus the discussed theoretical trends, presented in this study, were applied to the suffix-derivation, such as simple derivation, word-derivation, and mixed derivation. An inquiry was conducted into the processes through which those derivations would go in the lexicon.
In Chapter 5, I viewed the results of the investigations made in Chapter 2-4, and considered their limits together with directions of relevant research in the future.
