      The study applied group art therapy to thirty of middle school students, who wanted to participate in the program, to let them develop affirmative self-disclosure, and examined changes of their self-disclosure and analyzed the effects.
      The objects were each 30 students of experimental group and control group. The experimental group students, who wanted to participate in the program, were given group art therapy 2 times a week for 6 weeks, i.e., 12 times in total. The study adopted restructure group art therapy by the Jeon Sun-Young ,Kim Dong-Yeon(2001)'s group art therapy program as a research tool.
      The study adopted a self-disclosure questionnaire, which Kwang Yeun-jeong adapted , as measurement tool to inspect group art therapy effects. To examine group art therapy effects, the study conducted two ANCOVA to verify difference between the groups (experimental group and control group) and the inspection (preliminary inspection and post inspection) regarding overall changes of self-disclosure as well as changes of self-disclosure to objects.
      In summary, the results of the study are:
      First, the average of both experimental group and control group at self-disclosure inspection had no difference before group art therapy, while the average of experimental group was higher than that of control group after the therapy. This means that the group art therapy is effective to improve affirmative self-disclosure of middle school students.
      Second, the group art therapy had an effect upon to the objects of self-disclosure experimental group as follows: however at preliminary inspection and at post inspection after group art therapy were no significant difference at the extent of self-disclosure among the objects.
