사전 사회적 행동 질문지(ASBQ)의 타당화 연구: 대학생 집단을 중심으로 = The Validation of Korean Version of Anticipatory Social Behaviors Questionnaire: focused on college students

Anticipatory processing has been considered as a cognitive vulnerability factor, playing a prominent role in the onset, maintenance and aggravation of social anxiety. The Anticipatory Social Behaviors Questionnaire(ASBQ) recently developed by Hinricshsen and Clark(2003) is a widely-used self-report measurement of anticipatory processing. The present study investigated the psychometric properties of the Korean version of ASBQ in non-clinical colleage sample as well as scale’s validity. Also, this study attempted to identify such multidimensional factor as adaptive and maladaptive factor in anticipatory processing. The Korean versions of ASBQ, SIAS, SPS, B-FNE, SDSAS, PERS, PSWQ, CFI and CES-D were administered to 549 undergraduate students. The results was following. First, the exploratory factor analysis yielded two factor structure- ‘preparation’ and ‘avoidance’ factor. Second, three competitive models which were drawn from precedent studies were adopted to find the best factor model of K-ASBQ for college students. As a result, we found that our two factor model based on exploratory factor analysis of 269 Korean undergraduates was the best fitting model for the Korean college students. Third, it had appropriate construct validity with a significant positive correlation with SIAS, SPS, B-FNE, SDSAS and PERS after controlling for depression. Fourth, the results showed relatively high internal consistency and adequate test-retest reliability over a 2 week period. Finally, the results showed that ‘preparation’ factor did not predict the social anxiety when the fear of the negative evaluation was low, while ‘avoidance’ factor significantly predicted the social anxiety regardless of the level of fear of negative evaluation, which was interpreted as that ‘preparation’ factor reflects the adaptive aspect of anticipatory processing.Finally, the implications and limitations of the present study and suggestions for future research were discussed.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 사회불안을 발생 및 유지시키는 인지과정 중 한 단계인 사전 사회적 과정을 측정하는 척도인 Hinrichsen과 Clark(2003)의 사전 사회적 행동 질문지(Anticipatory Social Behaviors Questionnaire: ASBQ)를 한국어로 번안하여 심리 측정적 속성을 확인하고자 하였다. 먼저, 대학생 269명을 대상으로 탐색적 요인분석을 실시하였고 그 결과 2문항이 삭제되어 총 10문항을 확정하였으며, 요인구조는 2요인 구조로 나타났다. 그 다음, 척도의 신뢰도 및 타당도 분석을 실시하였으며, 그 결과 내적 합치도는 .90으로 높게 나타났고 2주 간격의 검사-재검사 신뢰도 역시 .79로 양호한 수준으로 나타났다. 타당도 분석으로는 관련 척도들과의 상관을 통해 준거 타당도를 확인하였다. 그 결과 ASBQ는 사회불안관련 척도들(SIAS, SPS, B-FNE, PERS, SDSAS) 및 걱정증상질문지(PSQW)와 유의미한 상관을 나타냄으로써 준거타당도가 적합한 것으로 나타났다. 또한 사전 사회적 과정이 적응적 요인과 부적응적 요인의 다차원적인 특성을 갖는다는 선행연구의 제안을 검증하기 위해, 부정적 평가에 대한 두려움 수준에 따라 사전 사회적 과정이 사회불안에 미치는 차별적 영향력을 살펴보았다. 그 결과, 회피요인은 부정적 평가에 대한 두려움의 수준에 상관없이 사회불안을 유의하게 예측하는 것으로 난 반면, 준비요인은 부정적 평가에 대한 두려움이 높을 때에만 사회불안을 유의하게 예측하는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 독립적으로 표집된 대학생 276명을 대상으로 확인적 요인분석을 실시하였고 탐색적 요인분석을 통해 도출된 2요인 구조의 타당성을 확인하였다. 선행연구들에서 제안된 요인구조와 본 연구에서 탐색적 요인분석을 통해 도출된 요인구조의 적합도를 비교해본 결과, 본 연구에서의 2요인 구조가 한국대학생들에게 가장 잘 부합하는 요인구조임을 확인할 수 있었다. 결과적으로 본 연구 결과는 사전 사회적 과정을 측정하는데 있어서 사전 사회적 행동 질문지(ASBQ)가 신뢰로운 도구임을 나타내고 있다. 이에 향후 사전 사회적 과정 관련 연구의 활성화를 촉진 시키고, 사회불안장애의 치료적 개입을 보다 세부적으로 가능하게 함으로써 연구 및 임상장면에 활용도가 높을 것으로 기대된다. 끝으로 본 연구의 의의 및 제한점과 후속 연구를 위한 제언이 논의되었다.
