헌신과 낭만적 관계의 질 사이에서 일상적 헌신 표현의 매개효과 : 관계 위협이 강할 때도 그럴까? = The Mediating Effect of Everyday Expressions of Commitment Between Commitment and Romantic Relationship Quality: Would it Hold When There are Serious Relationship Threats?

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 중국인 미혼 연인과 부부를 대상으로, 헌신이 관계질에 촉진하는 과정에서 헌신의 일상적 표현의 매개효과를 검증하였다. 또한 관계위협이 높은 집단과 낮은 집단의 차이가 어떻게 발생하는지 살펴보았다. 자기-상대방 상호의존성 모형(APIM)을 적용하여 부분매개 연구모형과 이와 다른 경로들을 갖는 대안모형들을 설정하였다. 다음으로 질문지 조사를 통해 얻은 364명(182쌍)의 커플자료로 구조방정식 모형검증을 하여 최적모형을 채택하고 자기효과와 상대방효과를 확인하였다.
분석 결과 자기효과는, 남자와 여자의 헌신이 자신의 일상적 표현을 통해 각자의 관계질에 유의한 정적 상관이 있다는 것으로 나타났다. 상대방효과는 첫째, 남녀의 헌신은 자신의 일상적 표현을 통해 상대방의 관계질에 유의한 정적 상관이 있다는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 여자의 헌신은 남자의 일상적 표현을 통해 남자의 관계질에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 그런데 남자의 헌신은 여자의 일상적 표현을 통해서 여자의 관계질에 미치는 영향이 확인되지 않았다. 셋째, 남녀의 헌신이 각자의 관계질에 미치는 영향에는, 상대방의 일상적 헌신 표현의 매개효과가 나타나지 않았다. 마지막으로, 관계위협이 높은 집단과 낮은 집단의 차이검증을 하였다. 관계위협이 강할 때 남자의 일상적 표현은 여자의 관계질에 대한 영향이 확인되지 않은 반면, 관계위협이 낮을 때 유의한 정적 상관이 있다는 것으로 나타났다.
연구 결과를 바탕으로 남녀 및 부부 관계 프로그램을 만들 때, 헌신의 일상적 표현과 관계위협의 효과를 논하였으며, 본 연구의 한계와 후속 연구를 위한 제언을 제시하였다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study verified whether the everyday expressions of commitment mediates the relationship between commitment and romantic relationship quality in Chinese couples, and when the relationship threats are serious how about the differences of the effects. For this study, the Actor-Partner Interdependence Model (APIM) was used to set up a research model and alternative models. Based on the data of 182 couples who are in a romantic relationship, we tested which research model vest fits by using structural equation modeling(SEM), and tested the actor effects and partner effects.
The results of analysis are as follows, the actor effects, the commitment of male and female showed a significant positive effect on their own relationship quality through their own everyday commitment expressions. The first of partner effects, the commitment of male and female showed a significant positive effect on the relationship quality of the other person through their own everyday commitment expressions. Second, the commitment of the female showed a significant positive effect on the relationship quality of the male through the male's everyday expressions. But, the commitment of the male was not influential in the relationship quality of the female through the female's everyday expressions. Third, the relationship quality of male and female has not been influenced by their own commitment through the everyday commitment expressions of the other person. At last, the group difference test was conducted when the relationship threat was strong and weak. When the relationship threat was strong, the everyday commitment expression of the male was not confirmed to affect the relationship quality of the female.
In addition, based on the above results, we discussed the effects of the everyday expression of commitment and the relationship threat when we creating a program for romantic relationship. And then, implications of the present study and suggestions of the future study were discussed.
