The purpose of this study is to investigate the problem appeared to the education of meter in secondary school and seeking the specific contents and the method to educate meter. The importance of meter has already recognized and found a lot of study results. But School education does not accept the findings and The meter education has not accomplished properly. In order to solve the problems of the meter education, First I investigated the concept and system of meter. Korean's poetry has no rhyming. Therefore, This study argues that meter of Korean's poetry is meter. Meter of Korean's poetry is the Eumbo. However Clarification on the basis of qualifications eumbo that the base of the meter unclear. It is difficult to access eumbo. The meter of Korean's poetry has led to its traditions on the modern poetry from classic poetry. The meter of Korean's poetry had difficulties in presenting one type meter because there are a lot of variations and departure. Therefore diachronic approach to meter of Korean's poetry, It explored the aspects carefully. Classic poetry is restricted to Hyang-ga·Sokyo·Kyunggichega·Sijo·Gasa and meter of poetry were investigated. Meter of classic poetry was based on the folk song 3Eumboyeok and 4eumbogyeok predominantly. That tradition had been passed down to modern poetry.
