우리나라 광·제조업부문 사업체의 성장 및 생존에 관한 실증분석 = Empirical Investigation into Plant Growth and Survival in the Korean Mining and Manufacturing Sector

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 1991년부터 2006년까지의 사업체부문 광·제조업 조사 자료와 한국신용평가정보에서 제공하는 KISVALUE 자료를 사용하여 우리나라 광·제조업 부문에서 사업체별 초기규모, 초기업력등의 사업체 특성변수와 산업별 더미변수, 수출비중평균, 개발비중평균등의 산업특성변수들이 사업체의 성장, 생존 및 성장가변도에 미치는 영향을 분석하고 있다. 분석기간 차이와 분석모형의 설정에 따라 Gibrat법칙과 Jovanovic법칙의 성립여부는 다르게 나타난다. 사업체별 초기규모와 초기업력, 산업별 더미변수를 포함한 모형에서는 모든 샘플기간에서 Gibrat법칙이 성립하지 않고 Jovanovic법칙은 성립한다. 그리고 초기규모와 초기업력만을 포함한 기본모형과 산업특성변수인 수출비중평균과 산업특성변수를 포함한 모형에서는 외환위기 이전기간에서는 Gibrat법칙이 기각되지 않으며, Jovanovic법칙은 성립하지 않는다. 산업별 그룹(더미)변수와 산업특성변수인 수출비중평균과 개발비중평균은 사업체의 성장이나 생존에 유의미한 영향을 미치고 있다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This research examines the relationships between three aspects of industry dynamics -plants growth, probability of survival and variability of plant growth- and plants specific characters -plants size, age-, and industry specific characters -industry dummy, export weight average and R&D weight average-. Statistical results show that plant growth decreases as plant size and age increase when industry dummy variables included. Therefore, Gibrat's law is not statistically accepted, and whereas Jovanovic's law is statistically accepted. The empirical results show that plant specific variables and industry specific variables including affiliation factors have made statistically significant effect on plant growth and probability of survival.
