부모의 양육태도가 주관적 행복감과 우울감에 미치는 영향: 강인성의 매개역할 = The Effects of Parental Care and Overprotection on Subjective Well-being and Depression: The Roles of Hardiness as Mediators

The purpose of the present study was to investigate the relations of parental care and parental overprotection to students' subjective well-being and depression. Furthermore, this study tested if students' hardness would mediate the relations of parental care and parental overprotection to subjective well-being and depression among 241 undergraduate students. The major results are as follows: First, parental care was significantly related to higher subjective well-being and lower depression. Second, a series of mediation analyses revealed that the relations of parental care to subjective well-being and depression were mediated by students' hardiness. Implication include future parental education should focus on parental care and that the desirable attitude of counselors in effective helping involves enhancing hardiness.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 지각된 부모 양육태도가 주관적 행복감과 우울감에 미치는 영향을 통해 부모 양육태도의 중요성을 확인하고, 이 과정을 개인 성격 특성으로서 강인성이 매개함을 밝히고자 하였다. 280명의 대학생을 대상으로 설문을 실시하였고 수거된 253부 중에서 241명의 자료가 최종적으로 분석에 사용되었다. 먼저 각 변인간의 관계를 상관분석으로 제시하였고, 위계적 회귀분석을 통해 강인성의 매개역할을 확인하였다. 연구결과, 부모의 양육태도로서 돌봄이 높고 과보호가 낮을수록 강인성과 주관적 행복감은 높았고 우울감은 낮았다. 또한 부모 돌봄이 주관적 행복감 및 우울감에 영향을 미치는 과정에서 강인성이 매개 역할을 하는 것으로 확인되었다. 부모 양육태도가 주관적 행복감과 우울감에 영향을 미침을 확인함과 동시에 강인성은 주관적 행복감과 우울감에 긍정적인 방향으로 영향을 미치는 중요한 매개요인임을 밝혔다는데 본 연구의 의의가 있다. 위와 같은 내용을 중심으로 상담 및 교육장면에서 본 연구의 시사점을 논의하였고 제한점과 후속 연구의 필요성을 제안하였다.
