초등학생의 인성과 행복감의 관계에서 생애목표(내재적 목표, 외재적 목표)의 매개효과

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구에서는 초등학생의 인성과 행복감의 관계에서 생애목표(내재적 목표, 외재적 목표)가 미치는 매개효과를 탐색하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 서울소재 초등학교 5학년 학생 305명을 연구대상으로 자료를 수집하였다. 먼저, 초등학생의 인성, 생애목표, 행복감 변인간의 관계를 파악하기 위해 Pearson 상관분석을 실시하였다. 이후 인성과 행복감의 관계에서 생애목표(내재적 목표, 외재적 목표)의 매개효과를 검증하기 위해 Amos23을 활용하여 구조방정식모형(Structural Equation Modeling)으로 분석하였다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 초등학생의 행복감과 인성 및 내재적 목표가 정적인 상관이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 행복감에 가장 큰 영향을 미치는 요인은 내재적 목표였으며, 외재적 목표와 행복감은 상관이 통계적으로 유의하지 않았다. 둘째, 인성에서 내재적 목표, 행복감으로 가는 경로, 내재적 목표에서 행복감으로 가는 경로, 인성에서 외재적 목표로 가는 경로는 통계적으로 유의하였다. 그러나 외재적 목표에서 행복감으로 가는 경로는 유의하지 않았다. 셋째, 초등학생의 인성과 행복감의 관계에서 내재적 목표의 매개효과를 확인하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 향후 인성교육, 행복증진교육 및 진로교육 프로그램을 위한 생애목표(내재적 목표, 외재적 목표)와 관련된 교육내용 및 교수방법 개발에 유용한 기초자료를 제공할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study was to examine how life goals(intrinsic goal, extrinsic goal) mediate between character and happiness of elementary students. The subjects of this study were 305 elementary students on fifth grade in Seoul. To understand the relationship of each factor, pearson correlation coefficient analysis was conducted. To verify mediating effects of the intrinsic goal and the extrinsic goal between character and happiness of elementary students, Structural equation modeling using Amos 23 was conducted. The findings were as follows: first, elementary students’ character, life goals and happiness were correlated, especially was related with intrinsic goal strongly, but not correlated with extrinsic goal. Second, a path from character to intrinsic goal, a path from intrinsic goal to happiness, a path character to extrinsic goal were statistically significant. While a path from extrinsic goal to happiness was not. Third, there was a partial mediating effect of intrinsic goal between character and happiness of elementary students. Based on these findings, we expect these findings could provide useful baseline data for developing educational contents and instructional method regard with life goal for personality education, happiness promoting education and career education.
