Recently, Field Emission Display(FED) has been dynamically studied as a potential display for future products . The FED, as a flat CRT, is expected to create a high marketing demand because of its prominent features such as wide view angle, low power consumption, fast operational capacity, high resolution, and a wide range of temperature capabilities. However, the practical use of Field Emission Display has also been delayed because of both technical and processing problems related to the metal tips of field emission arrays.
In this study, a FE electrode was fabricated by conductive polymer complexes and fine metal structures by using the template method. Template is a polycarbonate membrane filter. Initially, the FE electrode base was fabricated as polymer complexes were poured into a mold and then after removing the template, by attaching metals to the base. The micro structure was then observed by using SEM and analyzed via EDAX step by step along the fabrication process. Finally, the result achieved was a measured Field Emission at atmosphere 10-6 torr.
