한국어교사에 대한 기대 자질과 실제 만족도의 비교연구 : 일본인 고급 한국어 학습자를 대상으로 = A Comparative Study on the Expected Qualities of Korean Language Teachers and Actual Satisfaction -Targeting Advanced Japanese Learners of Korean-

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 한국어 교사의 자질과 실제 수업 만족도에 대한 일본인 고급 학습자들의 인식을 파악하고, 그들에게 적합한 교사의 자질을 도출하는 것을 목표로 한다. 현재, 세계적으로 한국에 대한 관심이 증가함에 따라 일본에서도 한국 유학 수요가 늘어나고 있다. 한국어 학습자들이 한국어와 한국 문화를 배우는 데 있어 한국어 교사들의 역량과 전문성은 매우 큰 부분을 차지하고 있다. 특히 교사들의 말을 잘 따르고, 성실하며 교칙을 잘 지키는 특성을 가진 일본인 학습자들에게 있어 교사의 태도는 매우 크게 작용한다. 그 중에서도 대학이나 대학원 진학을 앞둔 많은 고급 학습자들은 배움에 있어 교사에게 많은 기대를 갖고 있을 것이다.
이에 따라 본 연구는 일본인 고급 학습자들이 한국어 교사에게 기대하는 바를 조사하고, 실제 수업에서 교사가 학습자들의 기대에 부응하고 있는지를 설문조사를 통해 분석하였다. 분석 결과 각 영역별로 유익한 결과를 얻을 수 있었다. 특히 일본인 고급 학습자들은 ‘한국 내 대학/대학원 진학에 필요한 수업’을 추구하는 것으로 나타났다. 이 외 설문조사를 통해 얻은 여러 결과들은 앞으로의 한국어 교육 환경 발전에 크게 기여할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The aim of this is to examine the perceptions of advanced Japanese learners regarding the qualifications of Korean language teachers and their satisfaction with actual classes, and to derive the desirable qualities of teachers for them. Currently, with the increasing global interest in Korea, there is a growing demand for studying abroad in Korea from Japan as well. The competence and expertise of Korean language teachers play a language learners. Particularly for Japanese learners who tend to follow the teacher’s instructions, value diligence, and adhere to rules, the attitude of the teacher has a significant impact. Among them, many advanced learners who are preparing for university or graduate school have high expectations of teachers in their learning process.
In line with this, this study surveyed the expectations of advanced Japanese learners from Korean language teachers and analyzed whether teachers are meeting the learners’ expectations through a questionnaire survey conducted in actual classes. The analysis yielded useful results for each area of study. Particularly, it was found that advanced Japanese learners are pursuing “classes necessary for admission to universities/graduate schools in Korea.” Other results obtained through the survey are expected to contribute significantly to the development of the Korean language education environment in the future.
