놀이와 교육과정 연계에 대한 한국과 중국의 유아 교사 인식과 현황 = Comparison of the Awareness of Korean and Chinese Early Childhood Teachers about the Connection between Play and Curriculum

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study aims to compare and analyze the differences of Korean and Chinese early childhood teachers` awareness on the connection between play and curriculum. The subjects of this study were 322 early childhood teachers in charge of the groups of 3 to 5 year old children in both countries. Frequency and percentage of each item were produced, and χ2 and T-test were implemented. The results of this study were as follows: First, teachers of both countries considered the connection between play and curriculum as important but the teachers of two country reacted differently on the current status of a connection of play to curriculum. Second, regarding the way of connecting between play and curriculum, the teachers incorporated special activities such as game, play, free play, etc., into daily activities. Finally, as barriers to the connections of play to curriculum, the survey pointed out a high ratio of teachers to children, and pressure to teach basic skills.
