장애근로자의 보조공학기기 사용에 영향을 주는 요인 분석 = Analysis of Factors Affecting Assistive Technology Use for the Workers with Disability

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study is to reveal influential factors on the use of assistive technology devices aimed at workers with disabilities. The study conducted survey research aimed at 493 workers with disabilities who were supported in the use of assistive technology devices through the Korea Employment Agency for the Disabled.
First, as a result of investigating the level of the use of assistive technology devices according to variable, there was a significant difference in the level of the use of assistive technology devices according to the disability rating, satisfaction with assistive technology devices, acceptance of disabilities, and the level of user’s recognition. Second, influential factors on the use of assistive technology devices involved the disability rating, satisfaction with assistive technology devices, environmental support, and the user’s recognition of assistive technology devices.
As a result of the study, influential factors on the use of assistive technology devices by workers with disabilities were discovered to include the disability rating, satisfaction with assistive technology devices, environmental support, and the user’s recognition of assistive technology devices. Therefore, in order to maximize the use of assistive technology devices by workers with disabilities, it would be necessary to professional counseling and evaluation of each worker with disabilities and to education for promoting an understanding of assistive technology devices aimed at people working together with workers.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구의 목적은 장애근로자를 대상으로 보조공학기기 사용에 영향을 주는 요인을 밝히는 것이다. 2005년 1월부터 2009년 12월까지 한국장애인고용공단을 통해 보조공학기기를 지원 받은 장애근로자 493명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하여 분석한 결과는 다음과 같다.
첫째, 변수에 따른 보조공학기기 사용 정도를 조사한 결과 장애등급, 보조공학 만족도, 장애 수용, 사용자 인식 정도에 따라 보조공학기기 사용 정도에 유의한 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다.
둘째, 보조공학기기 사용에 영향을 주는 요인은 장애등급, 보조공학기기 만족도, 환경지지 및 보조공학기기에 대한 사용자 인식이었고, 자아존중감과 장애 수용, 보조공학 서비스 만족도와 보조공학 사용자의 자기 인식은 영향을 주지 못하는 것으로 나타났다.
본 연구 결과 장애근로자의 보조공학기기 사용에 영향을 주는 요인은 장애등급, 보조공학기기 만족도, 환경지지 및 보조공학기기에 대한 사용자 인식으로 밝혀졌다. 따라서 장애근로자의 보조공학기기 사용을 최대화화기 위해서는 우선 장애인 개인별로 전문적인 상담 및 평가를 통해 개인에게 가장 적합한 보조공학기기 지원이 이루어져야 할 것으로 사료된다. 또한 보조공학 서비스 과정에서 보조공학기기 사용 장애인의 인식을 높이기 위한 다양한 정보 제공과 교육이 필요하며, 장애근로자와 함께 일하는 사람을 대상으로 보조공학기기에 대한 이해 증진을 위한 교육도 반드시 병행되어야 할 것이다.
향후 연구에서는 다른 공적 급여를 통해 보조공학기기를 지원 받은 대상자 혹은 공적 급여 이외의 방법으로 보조공학기기를 지원 받은 장애인을 대상으로 보조공학기기 사용 영향 요인을 파악할 필요가 있겠다.
