‘한국어 통번역 수업’을 위한 한국어교원 교육역량 연구 ― 세종학당 통번역 시범운영 교원교육 내용 분석을 중심으로 ― = A Study on the Teaching Competence of Korean Language Instructors for Korean Interpretation and Translation Classes - Focusing on the Analysis of Teacher Training Content in the Sejong Institute’s Pilot Interpretation and Translation Program -

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study examines whether ‘Korean interpretation and translation teaching competence’ is reflected in Korean language teacher education, given the increasing demand for interpretation and translation education in Korean language teaching environments. Furthermore, it reviews the teacher training curriculum within the Sejong Institute’s interpretation and translation program. Based on this analysis, educational competency elements were extracted to enhance the practical skills of Korean language teachers, leading to the development of ‘interpretation and translation teaching competence’ for Korean language instructors.
As a result, the domains of Korean interpretation and translation teaching competence were categorized into three areas: ‘knowledge, skills, and attitudes.’ Specifically, the study identified seven detailed competencies: ‘interpretation and translation knowledge, Korean language for interpretation and translation, foreign language knowledge, instructional material development skills, interpretation and translation teaching methods, assessment and feedback provision, and intercultural attitudes.’ This study is particularly significant as it derives practical competency elements grounded in the needs expressed by instructors who conduct actual interpretation and translation classes.
