미래사회에 필요한 유아의 핵심역량과 교육내용에 대한 교사의 인식 연구 = A Study on Preschooler Teachers’ Perception about Preschooler’s Core Competencies and Educational Content Needed for Future Society

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study aimed to determine what competencies are needed for children to live in the future society, and what educational content are needed to be taught at the early childhood education stage to develop these competencies. To achieve this, this study analyzed the answers given by early childhood teachers to open-ended questions about future education and analyzed the data using the semantic network method. The results were as follows. First, as a result of analyzing the frequency and centrality of children’s core competencies needed in the future society, it was found that early childhood teachers recognized ‘creativity’ as the most important core competency that children who will live in the future era should have. Focusing on creativity, key words such as self-direction, problem-solving ability, and playfulness appeared as an interconnected cognitive structure. Second, as a result of analyzing the frequency and centrality of educational content that needs to be taught to prepare for the future society, early childhood teachers selected ‘self-directed learning’ as the educational content that needs to be taught at the early childhood education stage. And It was found that ‘self-directed learning’, ‘play-centered education’, and ‘living together’ were linked and structured around ‘creativity’. These results suggest that ‘creativity’ is a core competency that children must have to live in a rapidly changing future society, and that education to enhance the creativity required for future should be provided at the early childhood education stage.
