문화 · 생활 중심 총체적 유아 운동교육 프로그램 개발 연구 = Development of the CultureLife Centered Wholistic Physical Education Program for Young Children

The purpose of this study was to develop a culture and life centered wholistic physical education program for young children and to analyze the effects of that program on young children's music proficiency, spatial-perception ability, and motor proficiency. The subjects used in this study were 84 young children who attended one kindergarten. The mean age of the subjects was 70.6 months. PMMA, K-WPPSI, and MPTYC were used to collect of data. ANOVA and Scheffe were used to analyze the data. After experimental treatment, it was revealed that there were significant differences among experimental groups in the post-test scores. The post-test scores of music proficiency, spatial-perception ability, and motor proficiency of young children who were treated by a culture life centered wholistic physical education program (experimental group 1) were significantly higher than other children (experimental groups 2 and 3). In conclusion, these results strongly indicate that a culture life centered wholistic physical education program for young children developed in this study is an effective means of enhancing young children's music proficiency, spatial-perception ability, and motor proficiency. The results suggest that culture life centered wholistic physical education programs should be applied to early childhood education settings.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 유치원 유아들을 대상으로 생활주제를 선정하고, 대상통제운동과 명화감상 및 음악활동을 통합하여 감성·표현적 요소가 포함된 문화·생활 중심 총체적 유아 운동교육 프로그램을 개발하고 유아의 음악능력, 공간지각능력 그리고 운동능력에 미치는 효과를 분석하여 현장 적용 타당성을 검증하는데 목적이 있다. 본 연구대상은 총 84명으로 평균 월령은 70.6개월이었고 유치원 3개 반을 실험집단 1, 2, 3으로 무선 배정하였다. 유아의 음악능력, 공간지각능력, 그리고 운동능력을 측정하기 위해 PMMA, K-WPPSI, 그리고 MPTYC를 사용하였고, 수집된 자료는 ANOVA와 Scheffe 검증을 통해 분석하였다. 연구결과 문화·생활 중심 총체적 유아 운동교육 프로그램에 참여한 실험집단 1 유아들의 음악능력, 공간지각능력 그리고 운동능력 점수가 명화감상 및 음악활동에 참여한 실험집단 2와 대상통제운동 프로그램을 실시한 실험집단 3에 참여하였던 유아들보다 유의하게 높은 것으로 밝혀졌다. 이러한 결과는 본 연구에서 개발한 문화·생활 중심 총체적 유아 운동교육 프로그램은 유아의 음악능력, 공간지각능력 그리고 운동능력 증진에 효과적인 프로그램으로서 유아교육 현장 적용 타당성을 입증한 것이라 본다.
