중등학생 필자의 독자 고려 전략과 글 수준의 상관 연구 = A Study on the Correlation between Audience Consideration Strategies of Secondary School Student Writers and Their text quality

국문 초록 (Abstract)

이 연구는 중등학생 필자들의 독자 고려 전략의 사용 방식 및 정도와 글 수준 사이의 관련성을 탐색하는 데에 목적이 있다. 중학교 2학년 92명과 고등학교 1학년 학생 173명, 전체 265명이 이 연구에 참여하였는데, 이들은 특정한 독자가 제시되지 않은 초고 쓰기, 이에 대한 고쳐 쓰기, 교사 독자 및 동생 독자를 대상으로 한 고쳐 쓰기를 수행하였다. 독자 고려 정도와 방식은 PAIR 전략이 글에서 나타나는 빈도수를 측정하여 조사하였고, 글 수준은 12개의 분석적 채점 항목을 사용하여 평가하였다. 이들의 글을 분석한 결과 네 편의 글 모두에서 독자 고려 전략인 PAIR 전략과 글 수준이 높은 상관을 보이는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 비록 개별 항목으로 접근을 하면 통계적 유의미성의 차이는 있지만, PAIR 전략 전체의 합과 각각의 분석적 항목은 모두 유의미한 상관이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과를 통하여 독자를 고려한다는 것은 글의 내용, 구성 및 표현 등 글쓰기 전반에 걸쳐 글의 수준을 높이는 데에 기여할 수 있음을 확인하였다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study explores correlation between secondary school student writers’ audience consideration method and degree and their text level. 265 secondary school student writers-92 eighth-grade students and 173 tenth-grade students- participated in this study and they wrote the first draft without audience, revised on the first draft without audience, revised on the first draft for their teacher audiences, and revised on the first draft for their younger brothers and sisters. The researchers of this study measured secondary school student writers’ audience consideration method and degree by investigating the frequency of use PAIR strategy and evaluated their text quality by analytical assessment. The results of this study are summarized as follows. First, there was significant correlation between PAIR strategy and text quality in 4 types of writing. Second, although there was small difference in statistical significance, the frequency of use PAIR strategy and 12 analytic evaluation items were related. Therefore considering of audience make an important contribution to raise text quality in terms of content, structure and expression.
