This research had been carried out to find out about the meaning and the essence of the aggression experience through the research problem of 'How are the essence of the aggression experience of the youths who had the abuse experience and the meaning of the experience?'
The subjects of the research had been 6 male junior high school and senior high school students who had the experience of being abused and who had the aggression experience. The collection of the materials for the research had been each of the individual, in-depth interviews over a total of 4 times every week from March 2020 until April 2020. Ordinarily, the time of the interview required around 90 minutes in 1 time. The contents of the interview had been proceeded with through the procedure of the collection and the analysis of the materials and writing. By going through such a process, 21 meaning units had been understood. And, by gathering the common meanings, 10 lower-ranking topics were extracted. And the categorization of 3 upper-ranking topics and the symbolic meaning had been carried out.
If I were to summarize the results, they are as the following:
Firstly, it appeared that the youths who had the abuse experience had been looking at the essence of their aggression experience as 'having a hard time because of the abuse experience'. It had been able to know that the body suffers from the violence, the mind is thrown away, and, therefore, the sense of loss that had been obtained had settled down deeply in the inner side.
Secondly, the youths who had the abuse experience expressed the meaning of the essence of their aggressive experience as 'The heaviness of the life due to the abuse experience'. The emotion of the repressed anger was expressed as violence. The sense of isolation of being alone and the loneliness were expressed as the mind that wants to die. Also, the impulsive and momentary language and physical violences were expressed as suffering from unfairness. And it could be known that they had appeared as the negative and complex phenomena, including falling into an addition, the subject relationships not being smooth in the overall life, the low self-esteem, the ability to control that does not get controlled, or the others of the like.
Thirdly, regarding the youths who had the experience of abuse, within the meaning of the essence of their aggression experience, the strength of standing up high after getting over the pain of the experience of the abuse was discovered. The expression of 'even if it is so' had been shown as the appearance of endeavoring for the improvement of the relationships between the teacher and the friends within the living facilities, too, and not only the school for living while adapting to the present life rather than the mind of hating or abandoning.
For the career path activity, too, while concentrating, by sublimating their pain, they had been advancing forward toward their hope for the future. And, above anything else, the youths had been having the time for resting their minds. These times had been the exercise of their belief toward themselves that they will not collapse again. And they had been the strength of the mind that understands and forgives. It was possible to know that such facilities, the warm advices and encouragements of the teachers inside the school, and the social, supporting resources like the participation in the counseling healing program had been a very big help to their lives.
Through this research, the essence of the aggression experience of the youths who had the experience of abuse had been presented vividly. And the meaning of the experience could be recognized. And, based on the results of the research, as a discussion that is related to the understanding and the approach regarding the aggression experience of the youths who had the experience of abuse, the importance of the diverse social supports and interventions had been proposed.
