부적응 도식과 경계선 성격 성향의 관련성에서 부적응적 방어의 매개효과 = The Mediation Effect of Maladaptive Defense on the Relationships between Maladaptive Schemas and Borderline Personality Traits

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study investigated the correlations among the borderline personality traits, maladaptive schemas, and maladaptive defense. For this reserch, four hundred twenty nine male and female adults over eighteen years old were administered with The Young schema questionnaire, Korea-defense style questionnaire and personality assessment inventory borderline features scale. The results were as follows: First, the borderline personality traits had a statistically significant positive correlation with maladaptive schemas and maladaptive defense. The multiple regression analyses by using variables such as maladaptive schemas and maladaptive defense showed significant accountability for borderline personality traits. Second, maladaptive defense showed a partial mediating effect on the relationships between maladaptive schemas and borderline personality traits directly or indirectly. Further, the path model showed the significant mediating effect of defense styles through Bootstrap test. Finally, the implication and limitation of the study were discussed, and suggestions for future studies were also presented.
