The main purpose of this study is firstly to compare and analyze the differences of the reforming leadership, servant leadership, organizational culture, and effectiveness according to the demographical characteristic of the Taekwondo leaders and then to identify how the leadership types of Taekwondo leaders affect to the organizational culture and effectiveness.
I did a questionnaire survey on Taekwondo leaders who are running halls between May 2007 and August 2007 in the areas of Seoul, Kyunggi, Kangwon, Junbuk, Junam, Choongbuk, Choongnam, Kyungnam, and Busan by sending mails and direct visiting. The target was 1000 male and female teachers who are belonged to the nationwide Taekwondo halls and 863 questionnaires are actually used for the study except 137 which were missed out some parts after considering their coding errors and sincerity.
For analyzing to suggest the conclusion of this study, data coding is used, for the verification of the study hypothesis and major statistics, SPSS 13.0 for Windows is used, and for the demographical characteristic, I did Frequency Analysis. And to find out the sincerity of the survey, I did Internal Consistency Reliability by using Cronbach's α coefficient, to find out the validity, I did Principal Components Analysis and Factor analysis using Varimax.
To analyze the differences between the leadership types (reforming and servant leaderships) of Taekwondo leaders and organizational culture and effectiveness, I used Independent samples t-test and One-way ANOVA method, and to find out their relationships, I did Correlation Analysis.
Lastly, to analyze how the leadership types (reforming and servant leaderships) of the Taekwondo leaders, I did Multiple Regression Analysis. The attentive level of this study is set as p<.05.
Through these kinds of study methods and processes, I have reached the following conclusions.
Firstly, the demographical characteristic affects to reforming and servant leaderships, organizational culture and effectiveness. That is, the reforming leadership has shown the differences at majors and training experiences, the servant leadership has shown the differences at ages, majors, training experiences, ranks, and income, and the organizational culture has shown the differences at ages, training experiences, ranks, and income. Lastly, the organizational effectiveness has shown the differences at ages, training experiences, ranks, and income.
Secondly, the result of the correlations among the leadership types (reforming and servant leaderships), organizational culture, and effectiveness, statically shows attentive correlations. Therefore, I could be able to derive the correspondent conclusion to the hypothesis of my study which indicated that there are correlations among the leadership types, organizational culture, and effectiveness.
Thirdly, the reforming leaderships of Taekwondo leaders affect to the organizational culture. The result of the verification shows that the reforming leaderships of Taekwondo leaders affect to the group culture, rational culture, reforming culture, and bureaucratic culture.
Fourthly, the reforming leaderships of Taekwondo leaders affect to the organizational effectiveness. It shows that the reforming leaderships of Taekwondo leaders affect to the organizational effectiveness to the job outcomes and job satisfaction.
Fifthly, the servant leaderships of Taekwondo leaders affect to the organizational culture. The result of the verification shows that the servant leaderships of Taekwondo leaders affect to the organizational culture in most sense and also to the rational culture, reforming culture, and bureaucratic culture.
Sixthly, the servant leaderships of Taekwondo leaders affect to the organizational effectiveness. It shows that the servant leadership of Taekwondo leaders affects to the organizational effectiveness for the job outcomes and job satisfaction.
Lastly, the result of the verification that how the organizational culture (group culture, rational culture, reforming culture, and bureaucratic culture) of the leaderships of Taekwondo leaders affect to the organizational effectiveness(job satisfaction and job outcomes) shows that the organizational culture affects more to the job outcomes and also to the job satisfaction.
