The purpose of this study is to provide basic information for the study of Qing Dynasty's round stools by analyzing the modeling characteristics of round stools. The research scope is based on 32 round stools cultural relics collected by Chinese museums, relevant books and online materials. The research methods are literature research and case study. Qing Dynasty's furniture was developed on the basis of Ming Dynasty's furniture. In order to strengthen the imperial power, the court set up the royal workshop in the court to uniformly produce court furniture, and the furniture in the Qing Dynasty was developed. Due to the strong feudal system, round stools are more suitable for daily life than armchairs that symbolize status. Influenced by western culture and art, the Qing Dynasty introduced enamel craft and used it for furniture decoration. Modeling analysis focuses on the shape, decoration techniques, decorative patterns, materials, etc. of round stools. The Up and down shape are more balanced and concise. The basic shape of the round stools is drum shape, so the shape of the tool body is the most round belly wall type, followed by the round belly leg type. Carving is the most popular decorative technique. In particular, the rich carving on the round stools body is an important feature that distinguishes it from the round stools of the Ming Dynasty. Inlay techniques are also widely used in the decoration of round stools, mainly using marble, ceramics, enamel and other inlaid materials. The decorative patterns are rich in materials. Among the animal patterns, the dragon pattern is the most. Among plant patterns, flowers are the most common. Natural patterns are mainly cloud patterns. In geometry, drumhead nail patterns is the most representative. The round stools are mainly made of wood. There are also examples of ceramics or enamel. Pterocarpus indicus Willd is the most widely used wood. It has become another important feature different from the furniture of the Ming Dynasty.
