중국 청조시대 만주족의 가구장식 도안에 관한 연구 = Study of the association of decorative motifs with Manchu furniture of the Qing dynasty in China

Chinese Manchu furniture, known for its carvings and decorative motifs as well as its rich ethnic cultural connotations, reached its peak during the Qing dynasty. This style of furniture is one that can be a source of
inspiration for modern Chinese furniture design. This study establishes a database of the motifs and carvings used in Qing dynasty Manchu furniture and provides an analysis and summary of the relationship between them.
The modernization of Manchu Qing dynasty furniture is studied from the perspective of the current furniture market, and practical applications are suggested to make it more in line with market demand. This study also
conducted surveys to investigate the effect of innovative design and decorative patterns on participants’ perceptual evaluation of the furniture. Through quantitative and qualitative analysis of the participants’ subjective
evaluation, it is concluded that the subjects have significant influence on the different methods and degree of feeling of innovation of the decorative patterns. The effects of decorative design innovation on participants’
perceptual evaluation were studied from the perspective of subjective evaluation. Through subjective evaluation, participants’ perceptions and methods of decorative design innovation were summarized.
This study used inductive and analytical methods in its overall framework construction and adopted different methods depending on the specific research content. In the pattern collection and gallery building
section, the main methods adopted were literature review, fieldwork, and surveys. In the section of pattern categorization and analysis, methods including induction, comparative analysis, and analysis of variance wereused. In the pattern refinement research and modern application exploration sections, the methods used were case study, questionnaire, and statistical analysis.
In the analysis of visual perceptual characteristics, research was carried out to study the factors influencing visual perception and the factors influencing visual perception of decorative patterns, as well as to
discover the psychological effects produced by all changes in points, lines, surfaces, and shapes in patterns. To discover the psychological effects produced by changes in points, lines, surfaces, and shapes in patterns,
factors influencing visual perception and the factors influencing visual perception of decorative patterns were studied. This study analyzed the effects of the following three design features: variations in complexity, area
ratio, and curvature of lines. Subjective evaluation methods were used to study the impact of each type of furniture pattern variation on human perception and to draw conclusions.The main results of this study are reflected in the following two aspects:
 1. A database of Manchu furniture decorative patterns was established, a questionnaire was administered, statistical methods such as ANOVA were conducted to determine the effect of diverse types of patterns on visual
perception, and a systematic analysis of decorative pattern themes and their characteristics was conducted. Through these methods, a reference for the further development and application of these motifs in modern
Chinese furniture is provided. In addition, line drawings of the collected Manchu decorative motifs were processed to provide a useful source of material for CNC carving.
2. Based on the analysis of the application rules of modern Chinese furniture carving and decorative patterns, principles of modern application of Manchu furniture decorative patterns are proposed for refinement. The proposals are the following: direct reference of traditional patterns, variant reorganization, and general refinement. The specific application of the principles is also analyzed in conjunction with actual cases to provide
theoretical reference and guidance for the modernized application of the decorative patterns Qing dynasty Manchu furniture to modern styles.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

중국 만주족 가구는 청대에 전성기를 구가했으며 가구의 조각 장식 도안은 만주족 풍부한 민족문화의 함축된 의미를 구현하였고, 이는 현대 중국식 가구 디자인이 받아들이고 참고할 수 있는 원천이다. 본문은 청대 만주족 가구 장식 도안의 수집과 정리 및 분류를 통해 도안 데이터베이스를 구축하고 도안의 소재와 조각 장식 부위 사이의 관계를 분석 및 정리하였다. 시장과 실제의 관점에서 만주족의 청대 가구 현대화 활용을 연구하여 시장의 수요에 더욱 부합되도록 하였다. 또한 객관적 평가 측면에서 장식 도안의 혁신적인 디자인을 연구하여 피경험자의 지각평가에 영향을 미치고, 피경험자의 주관 평가를 통해 정량 및 정성 분석을 진행하여 피경험자가 다른 장식 도안의 혁신 방법과 지각에 상당한 영향을 미친다는 결론을 얻었다. 본 연구는 전체적인 틀에서 귀납법과 분석법을 적용하고 구체적인 연구 내용에 따라 각각 다른 방법을 채택하였다. 도안 수집과 도안 데이터베이스 구축 부분에서는 문헌 자료 열람, 현지 답사 및 조사 등의 방법을 채택하였고 도안 데이터베이스 분류와 분석 부분에서는 귀납법, 비교분석과 분산분석을 적용하였으며, 도안 추출연구와 현대 응용 부분에서는 사례 분석, 설문 조사, 통계학 분석 등의 방법을 활용하였다. 시각적 지각 특징 분석에 있어서 시각적 지각 영향 요소와 장식 도안이 시각적 지각에 미치는 영향 요소를 연구하고, 도안 속의 모든 점, 선, 면과 형상의 변화가 일으키는 심리적 효과를 발견하였다. 세 가지 측면에서 혁신적인 연구(복잡성 변화, 면적비율 변화, 라인 곡률 변화)를 진행하고, 실험대상자의 주관적 평가 방법을 통해 가구별 장식도안의 변화방법이 사람에게 미치는 시각적 지각 영향을 연구하여 결론을 도출한다. 본 연구의 주요 성과는 다음과 같은 두 가지 측면에서 나타났다. 1. 만주족 가구장식 도안 데이터베이스를 구축하고 설문지를 설정하여 분산분석, 통계분석 등 통계학 방법을 통해 위치에 따른 도안을 통계학적으로 분석하고 장식 도안 소재의 실용성 및 장식 위치의 변화 법칙과 특징을 체계적으로 분석 정리하였다. 현대 중국식 가구에 도안의 추가 개발과 적용을 위한 자료를 제공하였으며 수집한 만주족 장식 도안을 선묘 처리해 CNC조각에 좋은 소재 데이터베이스를 제공하였다. 2. 현대 중국식 가구 조각 장식 도안의 응용 법칙을 분석하여 만주족 가구 장식 도안의 현대화 응용 추출의 원칙을 제시하였다. 각각 전통 도안의 직접 인용 및 재구성을 추출하였으며 실제 사례 분석 원칙의 구체적인 응용을 결합하여 청대 만주족 가구 장식 도안의 현대화 응용에 이론적 참고와 지침을 제공하였다.
