The purpose of this study is to provide the policy implications of the Korea-China FTA negotiation, based on the analysis of the China's strategy for FTA. Having explored China's FTA policy and features, this thesis argues that the chinese FTA strategy which utilizes EHP has been driven forward with the strategic purposes- for example, securing a region al stability in the companionship of developing countries in the region as well as compensating for the admission of China's status of the market economy-rather than economic interests. And from the view point of the diplomacy, it appears that China is trying to beef up the power in East Asia through Korea-China FTA with the intention to take up the better position at the competition to take the initiative in the regional cooperation with Japan.
After all, it seems to be difficult for Korea to work out in the negotiation of Korea-China FTA within the short period of time despite China has expressed their position positively. The solution is as follows: Korea and China can make use of an "early harvest program(EHP) for the success of the Korea-China FTA.”
