무안 갯벌의 생태적 가치평가에 관한 연구 = A Study on the Ecological Value Evaluation of Muan Tidal Flat

국문 초록 (Abstract)

우리나라는 세계적으로 우수한 갯벌(2,55km²)을 보유하고 있음에도 불구하고 수산자원 측면에서의 활용보다는 주로 농업용지, 산업 용지를 위한 간척사업이 많이 이루어졌으며, 농업농지, 산업용지, 도시용지, 등 다목적형의 대규모 간척사업이 추진되었다. 수산업 부문에 있어 갯벌이용은 어업관리 측면에서 활용이 미흡한 실정으로 단순한 정착 생물(조개, 낙지 등) 채포 위주의 소극적 이용에 그치고 있으며, 최근에는 생태체험 현장의 관광자원으로서 주로 활용되고 있다.
그러나 최근 갯벌의 다원적인 기능뿐 만 아니라 경제적 가치에 대한 연구결과가 발표되면서 갯벌에 대한 가치가 재조명 되고 있으며, 현재 우리나라 수산업은 수산자원의 감소와 고유가 현상. 국제기구 및 지역수산 기구에서의 조업 규제의 강화 등으로 인해 연근해어업 및 원양어업에서의 성장은 한계점에 도달한 상태로 수산업의 지속적 성장을 위해서는 신규산업 개발이 필요하다. 갯벌의 경우 아직까지 산업화가 진행되지 않은 상태로 갯벌어업의 육성을 통해 새로운 수산물의 생산이나 신규 일자리 창출등이 가능할 것으로 예상되는 만큼 갯벌을 수산업의 신성장 동력 산업으로 적극적으로 육성해야 할 때이다.
무안 황토 갯벌은 해양생물에 중요한 양분이 되는 칼륨과 칼슘 등이 타 지역에 비해 풍부하고, 특히 미량성분 중 게르마늄, 몰리브덴이 풍부하여 다양하고 생산적인 해양생태계의 자양분 공급이 우수하여 해양특산품의 산지로서의 특성을 가지고 있다.무안갯벌을 통한 CVM조사에서도 무안군들은 무안갯벌의 생태적 가치를 충분히 인식하고 있으며, 갯벌 보존을 위한 보존비용도 충분히 지불하겠다는 의사를 나타내고 있음을 알 수 있다. 로그로지스틱 모형에 의한 추정결과, 무안군민의 갯벌의 보존을 위해 추가요금 지불의사액의 중앙값은 7,633원으로 나타났고, 평균지불의사액은 21.924원으로 나타났다.

Despite the fact that Korea has excellent tidal-flat (2,55 km²) There are a lot of a reclamation projects mainly for agriculture sheet and industrial land, rather than fishery resource utilization. And large-scale reclamation projects such as agricultural land, industrial lands, urban land, etc. have been promoted. In the fisheries sector, the use of tidal flats is inadequate in terms of fishery resource management. Therefore, it is used only for the passive use of simple settlement creatures (shellfish, octopus, etc.), and recently it is utilized as a tourism resource for ecological experience sites.
Recently, however, the value of tidal flats has been reexamined as a result of research on economic values ​​as well as the pluralist functions of tidal flats. And Korea 's fisheries industry has been reduced in fisheries resources. The growth of coastal fishing and deep sea fishery has reached a critical point due to the strengthening of fishing regulations in international organizations and regional fisheries organizations. In order to sustain the growth of fisheries industry, new industry development is needed. In the case of tidal flats, it is expected that the industrialization of the tidal flats will not be under way yet and that new aquatic products will be produced or new jobs will be created by promoting the tidal flats. It is time to actively nurture tidal flats as a new growth engine for the fisheries industry.
Muan Hwangto tidal flats are rich in potassium and calcium, which are important nutrients for marine life.In particular, germanium and molybdenum are abundant among trace elements, and it is excellent in the supply of nurturing of diverse and productive marine ecosystem. The CVM survey through Muan tidal flats shows that the Muan are fully aware of the ecological value of the Muan tidal flats and that they are willing to pay for the conservation costs for preserving the tidal flats.
