초등학교 교사들의 체육교육과정 운영 및 체육수업 실태 분석 = Analysis of current state of physical calsses and operation of physical education courses of the elementary school teachers

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 아동들의 전인적인 발달과 체육교육의 목표 달성을 위해서는 초등학교 체육교육이 정상적으로 이루어져야 한다는 인식하에 일선학교 현장의 체육교육과정의 운영과 체육수업의 실태를 파악하여 초등학교 체육교육의 정상화를 위한 개선방안을 제시하는데 있으며, 그에 따른 구체적인 연구 목적은 다음과 같다.

첫째, 초등학교 교사들의 제6차 체육교육과정 운영에 대한 현황을 조사 분석하고
둘째, 초등학교 교사들의 체육수업의 운영실태를 파악하며,
셋째, 효과적인 체육교육의 질적 향상을 위한 개선책을 제시하는데 있다.

이상의 연구 목적을 해결하기 위하여 서울 시내 11개 교육청별로 초등학교 1개교씩 무선 표집하여 3, 4, 5, 6학년 교사 339명을 대상으로 설문 조사 분석하였으며, 본 연구를 위해 사용한 설문지는 1)체육교육과정 운영실태에서 체육교육과정 내용 및 목표의 이해와 평가에 대한 문항 6개 2)체육수업의 실태에서는 학습내용·체육수업 운영방법·지도방향에 대한 문항 12개 3)효과적인 체육교육의 질적 향상을 위한 개선방안에서는 시설용구·전담제에 대한 문항 4개 총 22개 항목의 설문지를 작성하였다.

회수된 설문지 339부로 SSPS/PC로 통계 처리하여 문항별로 반응빈도와 백분율을 산출하고 성별간, 경력별간, 직급별간의 차이 유무는 χ²검증을 실시하였다.

본 연구의 설문자료 분석을 통하여 다음과 같은 결론을 얻었다.

1) 제6차 체육교육과정의 운영실태
(1) 초등학교 교사들은 체육교육과정에 대한 내용과 목표는 대체로 이해하 고 있으며, 체육교육과정의 목표에 부합되게 지도하는 것으로 나타났다. 그러나, 체육교과에 대한 연구가 부족한 것으로 생각된다.
(2) 체육평가는 성적산출자료로만 활용하는 것으로 나타났다. 평가는 정기 적으로 선정된 평가영역의 결과는 기록하고 산출하는 것이 합리적일 것이며, 평가결과를 성적 산출 자료로만 사용할 것이 아니라 학생들의 지도계획이나 아동의 신체발달을 위한 자료로 널리 활용하도록 해야 할 것이다.

2) 체육수업의 운영실태
(1) 초등학교 교사들이 체육과 수업을 위한 교재연구에는 관심이 적었으며, 체육실기 또한 자신이 없다고 반응하는 교사들이 많았는데 정상적인 체육수업이 가능하도록 하기 위해서는 교사들에게 정기적인 연수기회를 갖도록 하는 방안이 요구된다.
(2) 학교행사나 행정적인 편의로 인하여 체육수업의 결손이 적지 않은 것은 체육수업에 대한 인식과 관심의 정도가 얼마나 낮은가를 보여주는 것이라 하겠다. 이런 현상은 학교행사, 과다한 업무 등에 기인한 것이므로 이에 대한 대책이 필요하다.
(3) 체육수업에 있어서 가장 많이 이용되고 있는 학습형태는 분단별 학습지도형태로 나타났다. 이는 분단학습이 학생들의 동기유발과 성취감을 높일 수 있기 때문인 것으로 생각된다.
(4) 계절운동이 제대로 이행되지 못하는 것으로 나타났는데 이는 시설부족 과 교사의 지도능력 부족 때문이므로 이에 대한 대책이 요청된다.

3) 효과적인 체육교육의 질적 향상
체육교육의 질적 향상을 위해서 보충되어져야 할 시설이나 용구로는 실내 체육을 할 수 있는 체육관과 수영장 설치를 원하는 것으로 나타났고, 가장 필요한 조치로는 체육 전문교사의 양성이 가장 시급하다고 생각하고 있으며, 이를 위해서 행정적으로 체육전담제의 확대 도입을 긍정적으로 생각하고 있는 것으로 나타났다.

ANALYSIS OF CURRENT STATE OF PHYSICAL CLASSES AND OPERATION OF PHYSICAL EDUCATION COURSES OF THE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL TEACHERS


The purpose of this study is to propose an improvement method for a normalization of an elementary school physical education by identifying a current state of the physical classes ass well as operation of the physical education courses of the filed of schools under the recognition that they should normalize a physical education of an elementary school for the purpose of performance of goals of the physical education as well as development of whole person character of the children, and the conclusive objects for above matters area as following.
First, analyzing and investigating a current state of the 6th physical education courses operation of the elementary school teachers,
Second, identifying an operation state of the physical classes of the elementary school teachers,
Finally, third, proposing improvement methods for the quality enhancement in an effective way.
For the solving above problems, the research and investigation analysis has been operated with 339 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th grade teachers by random sampling of each elementary school located in 11 educational offices. The poll paper used in the research is 1) 6 items for understanding and assessment of the contents and goals of the physical educational courses in a physical educational courses operation state, 2) 12 items for instruction contents, physical classes operation method, instruction method in a current state of physical classes, finally, 3) 22 items out of 4 larger items for facilities tools and professional system in an improvement method for the quality enhancement of the effective physical education.
The received 339 papers wee processed with SSPS/PC, frequency of reaction and percentage were estimated, the difference per sex, career, ranking were operated using x²inspection.
Conclusions from above analysis are as following.

1) Current state of 6th physical education courses
(1) The elementary school teachers generally deemed to well understand the contents and goals for the physical education courses, in addition, they deemed to flexible to the goals. However, the research for a physical courses deemed to be short.
(2) The physical assessment deemed to be used for academic estimation materials. The assessment consists of assessment area report selected out of a regular base shall be recorded and estimated. The assessment report shall not be used as a academic estimation materials, however, it shall be used in a wider way such as for children's instruction plan or children's physical development.
2) Current state of physical classes
(1) The elementary school teachers seemed to have little interest in instruction research for a physical classes, moreover, they seemed to be rather cot confident in a filed test, which shall be established with a regular studies opportunity for the possible physical classes in a normal way.
(2) It indicates a lower level of recognition and interest in a physical classes that the physical classes get often lost due to administrative convenience or school's events. This event shall be replaced with certain courter-measures since it occurs out of schools' event, overloaded work, etc.
(3) The type of instruction frequently used in a physical classes ere proved to line of class-to-line of class instruction method. In this respect, it should be reminiscent that the motive occurrence and achievement of the students shall be highlighted by the line of class-to-line of class activities.
(4) It seemed that the seasonal physical activity do not operate well, which shall be established with certain measures since it occurs out of lack of facilities and shortage of instruction capacity.

3) It was estimated that the facilities and tools for the effective physical education in a good quality were proved to be a gymnasium and swimming pool internally, the most necessary measures were proved to be fostering of a professional physical teachers in the research, for this matter, a expanding introduction of a specialized physical class system in an administrative way shall be deemed in a positive way.
