동물(Animal)-인간(Human)-인공물(Artifact)에 관한 고찰 : 정신분석과 인지과학의 최근 논의를 중심으로

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 인간의 마음이라는 주제의 양 끝에 위치한 학문인 정신분석과 인지과학의 마음에 대한 이론들을 탐구하고 그의 통합을 시도하여 인간의 마음의 본질에 다가가는 데에 그 목적이 있다.
정신분석의 Two-sided사고 및 성욕동 2단계 발달론과 인지과학의 Dual Process이론, 또 <인간적>이라는 단어에 대한 자유연상과 사전을 통한 의미론적 접근방법을 활용하여 인간의 마음이 가진 두 방향성을 제시하였다. 그러나 인간의 마음은 두 방향성을 지니고 있을 뿐 방향성이 곧 인간을 말하는 것은 아님을 증명하기 위해, 정신분석에서는 ‘동물의 본능’과 ‘인간의 욕동’을, 또 인지과학에서는 ‘인간의 인지(혹은 의식)’와 ‘인공물의 기술’에 대해 그들의 차이성을 중심으로 인간의 마음이 지닌 특징에 대해 알아보았다. 또한 정신분석의 다중기능이론과 인지과학의 중다-판본모형을 활용하여, 두 방향성과 방향성이 지닌 가능성들이 인간의 마음에 고여 결국 현상이 되는 과정에 대해 유추해보았다.
본 논문은 이러한 이론과 단상들을 중심으로 동물-인간-인공물의 관계를 구상하고 있다. 인간의 마음이 가진 두 방향성을 각각 동물 장(Animal Field)과 인공물 장(Artifact Field)으로 명명하고, 이를 합하여 Dual Field라고 하였다. 그리고 Dual Field가 지닌 가능성은 개인의 역사를 가진 인간을 만나 비로소 밖으로 연장되어 현상과 선택으로 드러난다고 유추한다. 또한 Dual Field와 인간은 서로 상호작용하며, 이 구조를 통해 드러난 현상은 다시 개인의 역사를 만들어 간다는 연속적인 순환도 말하고 있다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study was to investigate the theories on mind, in terms of Psychoanalysis and Cognitive Science, located in two directivities of the theme of human mind and to have a better understanding of its essence by synthesizing the two approaches.
The study confirmed the two directivities that human mind had, by using a two-sided thinking and Diphase Developmental Theory of sexual drive in Psychoanalysis, the Dual Process Theory of Cognitive Science, free association for the word 'humanistic' and a semantic approach through the dictionary. However, to verify that human mind had its directivity, but this directivity would not be a human being, this study looked closely into the differences in the classification of Psychoanalysis (‘animal's instinct’ and ‘human drive’) and Cognitive Science (‘human cognition [or conscious]’ and ‘technology of artifacts’). By using The Principle of Multiple Function of Psychoanalysis and Multiple Drafts Model of Cognitive Science, the study inferred the process of human mind's becoming a phenomenon beyond the directivity and possibility. It conceptualized the relationships between animals, human beings and artifacts, based on these theories and essays.
The study divided each of the two directivities that human mind had into an Animal field and an Artifact field and called the synthesis of the two a Dual Field. It was inferred that the possibility of the Dual Field could be extended externally only when meeting with human beings who had the history of individuals, thus leading to the revelation of mind and phenomena and selection. Besides, the Dual Field and human beings interacted with each other, and the phenomena revealed through this structure would be about to create the history of individuals again, which could be coined as a continuous circulation.
