서울소재 일반계 고등학교 전문음악과정의 현황 = An Analysis of Music Curriculum in High School

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study is to analyze music curriculum for better ways to manage it in high school. For this research, a survey was conducted to know the number of students, professional subjects being offered, class hours for professional subjects, and the ratio between general subjects and professional subjects. Collected data were processed by SPSS win 12.0 and Chi-square. The major findings of this study were as follows : First, 26 general high schools operate musical courses, and 727 students are attending. Only half of the schools open musical courses from sophomore, contrast to students` opinion that want from freshman or sophomore years. Second, 61.7% students answered that they wanted more music classes. Third, 45.9% students hoped to become a professional musician, and 94.5% wanted to further advance their study in the same or similar field. Hence, professional musical curriculum have to be connected to higher educational institutions. Fourth, in order to operating musical course effectively, the following are needed : supports such as practice rooms, soundproof facilities, teachers with professional knowledges, school authorities fully understanding the need of musical programs.
