『(1946년판) 조선시집』 연구 -구성적 특이점에 반영된 삼팔선의 동역학- = A Study on the Korean Collective Poetry (of The Year 1946)

Korean Collective Poetry (of The Year 1946) is an anthology published in March 1947, by Korean Writers Alliance(KWA), the representative organization of left-wing writers during the liberation period. This book is divided into chapter 1 and 2. The chapter 1 is made up of the poems written by southern Korean poets, while the chapter 2 is made up of the poems written by northern Korean poets, along 38th parallel. This editing point is not mentioned at the preface or the content-table, although it is very distinctive of all the publication during the liberation period. I tried to examine the meanings and effects of this peculiar aspects.
It seems that KWA planned the publishing of Korean Collective Poetry (of The Year 1946) after coming to hand the Front of Culture(Munhwa Jeonseon), the magazine published by North Korea Art Federation(NKAF). Some poets of NKAF evidently engaged in the selection of poetry for Korean Collective Poetry (of The Year 1946).
This anthology has shown the aspiration toward unification of Korea beyond the division into north and south. The division into chapter 1 and 2 was successful to some extent, because it made clear the contrast between the miserable life of southern Korea and the delightful one of northern Korea. But consequently and ironically, the boundary between north and south became solid because of this division-editing. It might be a literary mirror about Korean reality in which it is impossible to build up 'One Korea'.
