영아기 자녀를 둔 어머니의 영아발달지식과 발달에 대한 기대

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구의 목적은 영아기 자녀를 둔 어머니의 영아발달지식에 대한 인식과 발달기대수준을 알아보는 데 있다. 연구대상은 서울, 경기, 충청, 영남, 호남 지역에 거주하는 2세미만의 자녀를 둔 어머니 140명을 대상으로 하였다. 자료 분석을 위해 빈도, 백분율, 평균, 표준편차, Chronbach' α, Paired t-test, Pearson's 적률상관계수를 산출하였다. 연구결과, 첫째 영아발달지식 중 인지발달이 가장 높은 정확도를 나타냈다. 둘째, 인지발달은 빠른 발달을, 신체, 사회ㆍ정서발달은 늦은 발달을 기대를 하는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 빠른 인지발달에 대한 기대와 빠른 신체, 언어 발달에 대한 기대 간에 유의미한 정적 상관관계가 나타났고, 빠른 사회ㆍ정서발달에 대한 기대와 빠른 신체, 언어, 인지발달에 대한 기대 간에 유의미한 정적 상관관계가 나타났다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study is to investigate the level of mothers’ knowledge of child development and expectations of development that mothers have on child development.
The subjects of this study are 140 mothers whose infants range in age from 0 to 2 years. The instrument used was: 1) Knowledge of Infant Development Inventory(KIDI) (MacPhee, 1981) and a demographic questionnaire. The data analyses use SPSS 12.0 which employs basic statistics, Paired t-test and Pearson's correlation.
The results of this study were as follows: First, Accuracy of mother's knowledge about cognitive development was higher than others. Second, Mother tended to overestimate the onset of cognitive development, but underestimate the onset of physical and social-emotional development. Third, Overestimated mother's knowledge about cognitive development correlated to overestimated mother's knowledge about physical and language development. Overestimated mother's knowledge about social-emotional development correlated to overestimated mother's knowledge about physical, cognitive and language development.
