      This study examines the skills effects of the blue-collar workers' formal training and informal learning in the workplace, utilizing HCCP by KRIVET. Classifying the informal learning into incidental learning, organized workplace learning, learning based on reflective practice facilitated by workers' involvement, this study set the following hypotheses: (1) formal training will have a positive effect on skills, (2)incidental training will have a positive effect on skills, (3) organized workplace learning will have a positive effect on skills, and (4) workers' involvement will have a positive effect on skills. Additionally, this study explores whether formal training will have a positive moderate effect between the informal learning practices and skills. The empirical results of this study are rather mixed. Formal training, incidental training, and workers' involvement have statistically significant positive skills effects, but organized workplace learning does not. And, formal training does not have a positive moderate effect. Finally, the implications and the limitations of this study are discussed.
