국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 논문은 졸업공연 “Where the Light Is”에서 발표된 자작곡들을 중심으로, 공연의 기획 의도, 주제, 사운드 구성, 무대 연출, 그리고 서사 구조를 통합적으로 분석한 것이다. 이번 공연은 단순한 곡 발표를 넘어, 음악을 통해 감정을 전하고 그 감정 안에서 관계를 회복하며 ‘빛’을 발견하고자 하는 시도였다. 여기서 말하는 ‘빛’은 조명이나 화려한 무대 효과가 아닌, 각자의 자리에서 음악을 진심으로 만들어낸 연주자들과의 협업 속에서 피어난 감정의 빛을 의미한다. 필자는 이 빛을 음악으로 받아들이고 전달하는 매개자로 존재하고자 하였으며, 공연은 그러한 관계성과 감정의 교류 속에서 완성되었다.

공연을 준비하는 전 과정은 필자의 음악적 가치관을 돌아보고, 작곡과 편곡, 무대 연출 등 다양한 측면에서 표현의 폭을 넓히는 계기가 되었다. 그러나 무엇보다 이 무대는 필자 혼자 빛나기 위한 자리가 아니라, 함께한 사람들의 존재와 그들이 전해준 마음이 있었기에 빛날 수 있었던 시간이었다. 지치고 흔들리던 순간마다 곁을 지켜준 이들의 응원이 무대 위에 설 수 있는 힘이 되었고, 그 따뜻한 감정들은 마지막 곡 “Highlight”를 통해 무대 전체를 감싸는 정서로 확장되었다.

이번 공연을 통해 경험한 음악적 여정과 관계의 울림은 앞으로의 창작 활동에 있어 중요한 토대가 될 것이다. 필자는 앞으로도 음악이라는 언어를 통해 타인과 감정을 나누고, 나의 빛이 누군가의 빛과 만나는 순간들을 만들어가고자 한다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This paper provides a comprehensive analysis of the graduation concert “Where the Light Is”, focusing on the original compositions featured in the performance. It explores the concert’s planning intention, thematic direction, sound design, stage production, and narrative structure. More than a mere presentation of songs, the performance aimed to convey emotions through music and, in doing so, restore human connection and discover “light” within those shared experiences. The term “light” here does not refer to visual effects or stage lighting, but rather to the emotional light born through collaboration with fellow performers, each creating music from their own place of sincerity. The author positioned themselves as a mediator who received and shared that light through music, and the performance was shaped by these exchanges of emotion and connection.

Preparing for the concert became an opportunity to reflect on and expand the author's musical values and direction. Through the processes of composition, arrangement, and stage production, the author continuously explored what they wanted to express through music and sought to broaden their artistic language. Above all, however, the stage was not a place to shine alone, but one that was illuminated by the presence and support of others. In times of exhaustion and doubt, it was the encouragement and care of those around the author that gave them the strength to stand on stage. These heartfelt emotions resonated most deeply in the final piece, “Highlight”, enveloping the entire performance in warmth.

The musical journey and emotional bonds formed through this concert have become a vital foundation for the author’s future creative path. They aspire to continue sharing emotions through the language of music, creating moments where their light meets and harmonizes with the light of others.
