지리교과교실 운영에 관한 연구 = A Study on the Administration of Geography Classroom

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study is to inquire into properties of geography course classrooms and grasp their operational status. For this, 12 schools where operation of course`s classrooms among general high school located in Seoul were visited and researched. The subjects of the study were geography course classrooms of each school, 12 geography instructors, and 12 students selected after field studies. Case schools were classified into 3 types according to properties of course classroom. Also, even the identical typed classrooms had different properties in their operational method according to composition of instructor`s research space, and how students` desks were arranged. The instructors responded `effective in presentation and use of visual and audio data,` effective in use and management of equipment, and `effective in positive responses and inducing interests from students, for effects of operating geography course classroom. On the other hand, they pointed out `unsettled environment and waste of moving time,` `difficulties in managing classroom,` `inconveniences by sharing classroom with other geography instructors or other courses` instructors` for issues of operating geography course classroom. The students pointed out `the differences between facilities and equipment,` and `the differences in lecturing method` for the biggest difference between general classrooms and geography course classroom, and unlike the researcher`s estimate, students did not have burden about moving their classroom.
