영아발달에 영향을 미치는 요인 연구-어머니의 심리적 특성과 양육 관련 특성을 중심으로- = The Impacts of Mother's Various Psychological Characteristics and Infant-rearing Styles on Infants' Developmental Outcomes

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study investigated the effects of mother's psychological characteristics (self-esteem, depression, parenting stress) and maternal parenting styles on infant's developmental outcomes assessed by K-ASQ. The target subjects consisted of 1,904 infants and their mothers from the second wave data of the Panel Study of Korean Children (PSKC). The main assessment instruments employed were the Kessler's Depression Scale(2006), the Rosenberg's Self-Esteem Scale(1989), the Parenting Stress Index (Kim & Kang, 1997), and the Parental Style Questionnaire (Bornstein, 1989). The data were analyzed using the stepwise regression analysis. The results indicated that only self-esteem among various psychological characteristics had positive effects on the development of personal social abilities in the infants. Also the warm and responsive parenting styles significantly affected their developmental outcomes of communication and personal social abilities.
