청소년의 효과적인 흡연 예방 및 금연 활동 전략 개발에 관한 연구: 메타분석과 시장 세분화 기법의 적용 = A Study on Developing Effective Smoking Prevention and Anti-Smoking Strategies Related to Adolescent Smoking: Applying Meta-Analysis and Market Segmentation Technique

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The ultimate goal of this study is to develop smoking prevention and smoking cessation strategies for adolescents in the region that is at a high risk of harmful effects of adolescent smoking (A Providence). In the first study (Study 1), a meta-analysis was performed on 16 previous studies related to adolescent smoking. As a result, the psychological factor `self-efficacy` and social factor `friend`s smoking` had the greatest influence on adolescent smoking. Second study (Study 2) conducted a survey with 619 students that are enrolled in total 17 middle and high schools in A Province, which were randomly selected. Students` psychosocial factors that induce smoking, demographic characteristics, economic characteristics, perception and actual state of smoking, and assessment on the effectiveness of previous smoking prevention and smoking cessation activities were measured through the survey. Using the market segmentation technique after collecting data, the adolescent cigarette consumption groups in A Province were divided into total 4 segments (Middle self-efficacy/None has smoking friends, Low self-efficacy/Majority has smoking friends, High self-efficacy/Majority has smoking friends, Middle self-efficacy/ All have smoking friends) based on self-efficacy and friend`s smoking. The differences in various characteristics of each group were identified. In the last study (Study 3), F.G.I.`s were conducted with experts related to adolescents (e.g., counseling teachers) or smoking (e.g., planners for anti-smoking ads) to draw smoking prevention and smoking cessation strategies for each of the 4 segments obtained from Study 2. Lastly, the practical implications and limitations of the 3 studies described previously and research directions for future studies were discussed.
