The increase of the amount of knowledge has been speeded up uncontrollably, these days. As a result, it became a difficult problem to choose what kind of knowledge should be added to a curriculum or not. Furthermore, the fact that current societies require efficient and creative knowledge makes it even harder to organize a curriculum which satisfies such demands.
The integrated education is known to be one of appropriate answers to the problem. This thesis focused on the integration of music and other subjects.
This thesis is about the unified lessons as the curriculum to help the education for the whole man, focuses on high school in secondary education, and its purpose is to research the teaching method for the efficient unified lesson between the music and art, social & culture studies.
As theoretical background to integrate the music subject with other subjects, this thesis referred to the unifying method of J.B. Ingram, and studied Bennett Reimer's theory to categorize the patterns of unified music education by historical, thematic, material affinities.
Moreover, based on Reimer's theory, analyzed the contents combined other subjects and the tune ms found on three kinds of texts used in the high school-Level Curriculum. With this analysis, presented the actually available teaching models such as the one integrated music with art, and music with social studies.
These integrated teaching models showed in here, have learners raise the aesthetic sensibilities, paid special attention to the selection of common elements and the concrete guidance plan for transferring the contents of unified subject efficiently as well.
