유치원 원장에 관한 연구 동향분석 : 2006~2021 학위논문 및 학술지를 중심으로

This study aims to provide basic data for future research on kindergarten principals by reviewing and analyzing trends of master's and doctoral dissertations and research published in academic journals of Korea between 2006 and 2021. To this end, the following research questions were established.

Research Questions 1. What is the quantitative distribution of the number of studies by year of research on kindergarten principals?
Research question 2. What is the trend by method of research on kindergarten principals?
Research Question 3. What is the trend of research on kindergarten principals by topic?

The research subject is 205 domestic master's and doctoral dissertations and research papaers published in academic journals related to kindergarten principals published between 2006 and 2021 - 95 master's dissertations, 19 doctoral dissertations, and 91 papers published in academic journals. The results of trend analysis of research on kindergarten principals are as follows.
First, looking at the quantitative distribution of the number of studies by year, from 2006 to 2021, an average of 12.9 studies, a minimum of 7 times and a maximum of 21 studies were conducted annually. Although it repeated an increase and a decrease without a clear trend, 17 studies in 2019, 21 times in 2020, and 16 times in 2021 were conducted on average 18 times over the past three years, 5.1 more studies compared to the average of 12.9 times.
Second, looking at the trends by research method, 158 cases (74.2%) of quantitative studies and 52 cases (24.4%) of qualitative studies were conducted, and only 3 cases (1.4%) of literature studies were conducted.
Third, research on the leadership of the kindergarten principal by research topic was conducted 110 times (53.7%), more than half of the total papers. Next, the perception, attitude, and belief of the kindergarten principal were studied 55 times (26.8%). Papers on the duties and roles of the kindergarten principal were studied the third most with 21 times (10.2%), followed by the study on the qualities of the kindergarten principal and the study on kindergarten management 9 times (4.4%), respectively.
As above, the research trend of kindergarten principals was analyzed. The analysis results can be used as basic data for revitalizing research on kindergarten principals in the future.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 2006년부터 2021년 사이에 국내에서 발표된 유치원 원장에 대한 석ㆍ박사학위논문 및 학술지 발표 연구를 검토하여 동향을 분석함으로써 유치원 원장에 관한 연구를 위한 기초자료를 제공하고자 한다. 이를 위해 다음과 같이 연구 문제를 설정하였다.

연구 문제 1. 유치원 원장에 관한 연구의 연도별 동향은 어떠한가?
연구 문제 2. 유치원 원장에 관한 연구의 방법별 동향은 어떠한가?
연구 문제 3. 유치원 원장에 관한 연구의 주제별 동향은 어떠한가?

연구 대상은 2006년부터 2021년 사이에 국내 석박사학위논문과 학술지에 게재된 원장 관련된 연구논문 205편(석사학위 논문 95편, 박사학위 논문 19편과 학술지에 게재된 논문 91편)이며, 유치원 원장에 관한 연구의 동향 분석 결과는 다음과 같다.
첫째, 연도별 연구횟수의 양적 분포를 보면 2006년부터 2021년까지 매년 평균 12.9회, 최소 7회에서 최대 21회의 연구가 이루어졌다. 뚜렷한 경향성 없이 증가와 감소를 반복했지만, 2019년 17회, 2020년 21회, 2021년 16회로 최근 3개년 동안 평균 18회의 연구가 진행되어, 평균 12.9회 대비 5.1회 많은 연구가 이루어졌다.
둘째, 연구 방법별 동향을 보면, 양적 연구는 158건(74.2%), 질적 연구 52건(24.4%) 진행되었으며 문헌 연구는 3건(1.4%)에 그쳤다.
셋째, 연구 주제별로 원장의 지도성에 대한 연구는 110회(53.7%)로 전체 논문의 절반이 넘을 정도로 많이 연구되었다. 다음으로 원장의 인식, 태도 및 신념은 55회(26.8%)로 연구되었다. 원장의 직무와 역할에 대한 논문은 21회(10.2%)로 세 번째로 많이 연구되었고, 다음으로는 원장의 자질에 관한 연구와 유치원경영에 대한 연구가 각각 9회(4.4%) 이루어졌다.
위와 같이 유치원 원장에 대한 연구동향을 분석하였다. 분석 결과는 향후 유치원 원장에 대한 연구의 활성화를 위한 기초자료로 활용될 수 있을 것이다.
