대학에서 교수의 교수활동이 학생의 학습활동을 매개로 학습성과에 미치는 영향에 관한 잠재성장모형 분석 = Analysis of Latent Growth Model on the Effect of Professor's Teaching Activities on Learning Outcome: Mediating Effect of Student Engagement

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study investigated the effects of professor’s teaching activities on learning outcomes, and the mediating effects of student engagement in the above relationship. To solve this problem, this study uses the 2014, 2016, and 2018 data(1,390 university students) of 「Korean Education Longitudinal Study 2015」 from the Korea Educational Development Institute. The Latent Growth Modeling (LGM) was applied to perform longitudinal analysis.
The results of this study are as follows. First, the initial score of teaching activity has a statistically significant static effect on the initial score of student engagement. Second, the change rate of teaching activity has a statistically significant static effect on the change rate of student engagement. Third, the rate of change in student engagement has a statistically significant static effect on the rate of change in learning outcomes. Fourth, the rate of change in teaching activity has a statistically significant positive effect on the rate of change in learning outcomes of college students through the rate of change in student engagement.
The suggestion of this study are as follows. First, it is necessory to support for teaching competency programs at the university level for various class designs. Second, It is necessary to devise a systematic feedback system at the university level for the continuous improvement of professors' teaching activities.
