수학교과의 공교육과 사교육에 관한 중학생의 인식 비교 = A Study on Cognition of Middle School Students for Public and Private Educations in Mathematics

Recently in the field of public education in Korea is frequently the cause of the collapse of teaching students is a factor. The problem of this study are as follows.

최근 한국의 공교육 현장에서 빈번히 발생되고 있는 수업 붕괴 현상의 원인 중 하나는 학생 요인이다. 수업 붕괴 현상은 학생과 학부모의 공교육 불신의 심화, 사교육 시장을 활성화시키는 원인이 되고 학생 요인은 학생들이 학교는 재미가 없고 흥미가 없다고 느껴 학교에서 배우려는 마음가짐이 상실되는 것이다. 여기에 초점을 두어 이 연구는 교육의 주체인 학생들의 공교육과 사교육이 진행하고 있는 수학교과과정 및 평가 인식이 성별과 학년별로 차이가 있는지를 알아보고 이를 바탕으로 수학교과의 공교육과 사교육의 조화로운 발전을 위한 개선 사항을 모색하는 데 목적이 있다.
전반적인 인식 조사 결과를 바탕으로 수학교과의 공교육과 사교육 발전을 위해 노력해야 할 사항을 제시한다. 수학교과의 공교육에 대해 부정적 반응 비율이 높았던 문항 내용과 관련된 다수의 연구물이 발표되고 활용 가능하다는 점을 고려할 때 공교육 일선 현장에서 활동 중인 교육자들은 연구 자료를 참고하고 적용, 결과, 검토의 과정을 통해 학생들이 수학에 관심과 흥미를 갖고 수업에 만족할 수 있도록 전문적 소양을 꾸준히 기르는 데 힘써야 한다.
성별과 학년별로 인식 정도에 차이를 보인 문항 결과에 주목하여 남학생 집단을 감안할 때 실생활에서 흥미를 끌 수 있는 수학 관련 소재들을 연구 개발 및 활용에 무게를 두고 이를 수학 내용 및 문제해결에 접목하여 수학의 실용성 효과가 보일 수 있도록 노력해야 하고 여학생 집단을 감안한다면 교육과정에서 비중있게 다루고 있는 수준별 수업을 더욱 활성화시켜 학생 개개인의 눈높이에 맞는 수업의 진행이 이루어지도록 일선 현장 교육자의 노력이 요구된다.
수학교과의 사교육에 대해 대부분의 문항에서 긍정적 반응을 보였지만 학교 수업과의 차별화를 꾀하려는 노력과 수학교과에 관심을 가지게 해 주는 다양한 자료와 수학 교구를 구비하고 적절히 활용하는 데 있어서 공교육과 상호 협력하여 교육 서비스의 질을 한층 더 향상시키기 위해 꾸준한 관심을 갖는 노력을 기울여야 한다. 또한, 남학생 집단을 감안할 때 학교 수학 학습의 내용 범위 내에서 새로운 수업 방식의 연구 개발, 적용, 결과 분석 과정의 시도 후 학생들의 반응을 통해 개선 사항을 점검하고 문제해결에 있어 개인만의 독특한 풀이 방법을 이끌어낼 수 있도록 수업 때마다 격려하는 노력을 아끼지 말아야 하며 여학생 집단을 감안한다면 학생의 특성을 잘 파악하여 현재 수학 학습의 문제점과 자신감 결여 요인 분석 및 진단을 바탕으로 해결책을 강구하는 관심과 노력, 수학에 관심을 갖도록 수학 교구와 자료를 구비하고 이를 적절히 활용하여 수학이 친근한 과목이 되도록 하는 인식의 고취, 개인의 실력에 맞게 구성된 수학교재의 사용되 고려해 보는 노력이 요구된다.
