A stable intercalation complex was obtained by adsorption of alcanol (ROH; R=C_10H_21, C_12H_25, C_14H_29) on the surface of montmorillonite of which the interlayer space was occupied with n-decylammonium ion (C_10H_21NH^+_3). The layer charge density...
A stable intercalation complex was obtained by adsorption of alcanol (ROH; R=C_10H_21, C_12H_25, C_14H_29) on the surface of montmorillonite of which the interlayer space was occupied with n-decylammonium ion (C_10H_21NH^+_3). The layer charge density calculated from the increaments of basal spacings was 0.38 per unit chemical formula. On the other hand, the orientation of the intercalated organomolecule was also discussed in this paper.
