장애인거주시설 사회복지사와 발달장애인의 관계에 관한 질적 사례연구 = The Experience of Relationships with Persons with Developmental Disabilities Perceived by Social Workers at Residential Facilities for the Disabled

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study aimed to explore in depth the aspects, meaning, and context of the experience of relationships with persons with developmental disabilities perceived by social workers of residential facilities for the disabled, thereby suggesting their social-welfare implications for the establishment of the mutual cooperative relationships. The research method was a qualitative case study. By using the purposive sampling method, seven social workers at six residential facilities for the disabled in six regions were selected as participants in the research, and in-depth interviews and observations were carried out. As a result of analysis, it was found that the social workers’ experience of relationships with persons with developmental disabilities could be grouped into 5 upper categories and 22 sub-categories: ‘In the familiar way as it is,’ ‘I and we changing first,’ ‘Understanding and giving way,’ ‘Continuing endless worries,’ and ‘Faced with limitations beyond control.’ On the basis of the above findings, social-welfare methods for establishing equal and cooperative relationships between social workers and persons with developmental disabilities were discussed.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

이 연구는 장애인거주시설 사회복지사와 발달장애인의 관계 경험을 질적 사례연구방법을 활용하여 심층적으로 탐색한 것이다. 연구참여자는 6개 지역에 있는 장애인거주시설 6개소의 사회복지사 7명이었으며, 개별심층면접과 관찰을 실시하였다. 분석결과, 사회복지사의 발달장애인 관계 경험은 5개의 상위범주와 22개의 하위범주로 나타났으며, <익숙했던 모습 그대로>, <나와 우리가 먼저 변화되고>, <이해하고 양보하고>, <끝이 없는 고민이 계속 되고>, <어쩔 수 없는 한계에 부딪치고>이었다. 이 결과를 기초로 사회복지사와 발달장애인의 관계에서 나타나는 맥락적 양상에 대해 논의하였다. 이를 통해 이 연구는 사회복지사와 발달장애인의 관계에 대한 사회복지적 함의를 제시하고 있다.
