    This paper attempts to investigate the influences of local anesthetics on the rectal absorption of sulfanilamide Suppository.
    Today, Rectal administration, Compared with oral administration, is frequently used, because it has no gastro-intestinal obstacles and has better velocity of absorption.
    A suppository containes 150mg of sulfanilamide and Alternatively 5% and 20% of each local anesthetics (procaine, Lidocaine) to 550mg of A suppository gravity.
    When it comes to suppository bases using.
    Cacao butter. Cholesterol 3% + Cacao butter 47% + glycerine 50%.
    Lecithine 1% + Cacao butter 84% + H_(2)O 15%. Polyethyiene glycol 4.000,
    After inserting a suppository into rectum of Rabbit, determining the absorption velocity at 20, 40, 60, 80, 100 minute, When using local anesthetics with sulfanilamide Suppository. Absorption of Sulfanilamide increases more than single Sulfanilamide administration.
    It is found that high concentration of local anesthetics are more remarkable than low concentration in absorption velocity.
    Especially, when using Cacao butter as a suppository base, Absorption is more increasing than other bases.
