강력범죄의 구조적 요인에 대한 공간회귀분석

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study performed spatial regression analyses on the causal relationship between structural covariates and serious crimes such as robbery and sex offense, using all 424 Dong Districts of Seoul. Results showed that both robbery and sex offense were spatially dependent, and in particular sex offense was spatially heterogeneous which suggested more detailed neighborhood research in smaller scale is necessary for detecting exact causal process. ‘Number of people per house’ made the strongest effects on both types of crimes, which indicated that restoration of the function of family is critical in preventing crime in Korea where the value of family is still crucial in social life. For other alternatives, residential stability, strong neighborhood bond, concern and compassion on foreigners, and unity among diverse people appeared necessary. Community research in smaller scale than Dong Districts requires that more detailed data be open for research purpose, which in turn will be helpful in implementing more effective and efficient crime control policies.
