가족탄력모델을 이용한 치매노인 부양가족원의 적응에 관한 연구 = A Study on the Level of Family Adaptation to Family Caregivers with Senile Dementia Patients: An Application of the Family Resiliency Model

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 치매노인 부양가족원들의 적응에 관한 연구로서 가족탄력모델에 근거하여 치매노인 부양가족원들의 적응과 부적응에 영향을 미치는 요인들과 이들 요인들의 영향력의 정도를 분석하고 이를 통하여 부양가족원들의 적응을 위한 실천적 함의를 찾는 것을 목적으로 이루어졌다.
본 연구의 조사대상자들은 울산광역시에 거주하는 치매노인의 부양가족원들이다. 조사기간은 2006년 4월 12일부터 5월 26일 사이에 이루어졌다. 회수된 총 246부의 설문지 중에서 무응답이 지나치게 많은 31부를 제외한 215부를 채택하여 자료처리를 하였다.
연구결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 탄력모델의 주요변인들과 가족의 부적응과의 상관관계분석에서는 대처전략의 하위변인인 ‘이웃’, ‘종교’의 변인들을 제외하고는 거의 모든 변인들과 유의미한 상관관계가 나타났다. 단계별 투입에 의한 중다회귀 분석결과 가족의 부적응을 직접적으로 설명하고 예측할 수 있는 요인은 ‘선동적’ 의사소통의 사용정도, 대처전략의 하위변인인 ‘문제해결의 확신’, 가족내구력의 하위변인인 ‘도전력’과 ‘통제력’, 그리고 사회적지지 가운데 ‘친구’들과의 친밀감과 지지의 정도에 관한 변인들로 나타났다.
이러한 연구 결과에 근거하여 부양가족원들의 적응을 위한 사회사업적 개입 방안을 제시하였다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study is to examine the variables that may influence the level of family adaptation to family caregivers with senile dementia patients using the Family Resiliency Model. The level of family adaptation in the face of crisis situation is determined by a number of interacting components. The subjects are 215 family members with senile dementia patients.

The results from the research were as follows :
1) The following variables significantly correlated with the family adaptation: educational level of the family and income of the family.
2) The following factors that compose the Family Resiliency Model, significantly correlated with the family adaptation:
family hardiness, the pattern of family problem solving communication, the degree of social support, and family coping coherence.
3) The result of stepwise multiple regression analysis indicated the factors which predict the level of family adaptation were the patterns of family communication, the confidence in problem solving, the family's sense of being in control of family life, the family's challenge, and the support from the friend.
These findings give us significant practical implications for social work intervention.
