세계화와 발전국가의 관계 재조명 = 싱가포르와 중국을 중심으로

국문 초록 (Abstract)

동아시아의 발전국가들은 세계화의 영향으로 어떻게든 변화하여왔다. 정통적인 의미에서 볼 때 기존의 동아시아 발전국가는 소멸하였거나 다른 국가형태로 변화하였다. 즉 동아시아 발전국가들은 세계화시대에 새롭고 독특한 국가형태를 발전시키고 있지만 이것은 정통적인 의미에서 과거의 발전국가는 아니었다. 그럼에도 불구하고 예외적으로 싱가포르와 중국은 지금까지 성공적으로 발전국가를 유지하여왔다. 그러므로 세계화와 발전국가의 관계를 이해하는데 싱가포르와 중국은 흥미롭고 독특한 경우이다. 본 연구에서는 싱가포르와 중국이 세계화과정에서 기존의 다른 발전국가와는 달리 어떻게 정통적인 발전국가를 지속하고 있는지를 살펴보면서 세계화와 발전국가의 관계를 재조명해 보고자한다. 이를 위해 먼저 정통적인 발전국가의 구성요소를 살펴보고 이러한 요소들을 중심으로 싱가포르와 중국 발전국가의 지속성을 분석한다.
