The present dissertation is based on the experience of teacher with IB program implementation in Korean public schools and its impact on the education in the country. IB program has become a popular educational curriculum to broaden the international mindset of students all around the world. For that reason, Korea also intended to implement the program inside the public education to build on students the capacity of adapting to foreign backgrounds easily in order to achieve the needs of globalization. This dissertation presents the experiences of teachers participating on the IB program implementation in public school in Daegu city, Korea, which was collected through group interviews during the program implementation period. Through this research, the author found out the IB program implementation has been affected both positively and negatively by internal and external factor due to the country’s own identity and culture. The result of this research shows that the IB program, despite the similitudes between the National Curriculum and IB program itself, is still a challenge to participants due to innovative and unique aspects and procedures of IB program that unmatched with participants’ and school’s identity and culture.
