다문화가정 아동의 모래상자치료 사례분석 연구 = A Case Study on Sandtray Therapy for a Child from a Multicultural Family

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study researched a sandtray therapy case focused on the right of life and protection with a elementary school student who has experienced psychological and emotional difficulties. The child was in his fourth grade of elementary school when he consulted at first and has international marriage migrant mother and Korean father. The child was showed emotional anxiety, shrinking and school refusal. The therapy has been done for 64 sessions in total for 1year 10months. The purpose of the study was to examine possibilities of the sandtray therapy for a child who experienced temporary difficulties of adaptation after his father’s death. From the case study, I could observe that the child recognised the right of life to cope with the outer world and the right of protection to be protected by the adult.
The positive effects of the child could be confirmed by changes of subjects that child has created in his sandtray during the therapy sessions. As the therapy sessions continued, the hero who possesses the power to overcome difficulties of emotional anxiety, shrinking and school refusal has been showed and the child has been empowered. The child also could make positive changes in his school and recognize the right of protection from his mother and community. These results showed positive effectiveness of the sandtray therapy that can work with the child who is experiencing difficulties of survival, adaptation and protection in the multicultural background. In order to respect the children’s rights, the sandtray therapy would be useful.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 부의 교통사고 후 심리적 정서적 어려움을 경험하고 있는 초등학생의 생존권과 보호권을 중심으로 실시된 모래상자치료 사례분석연구이다. 연구대상아동은 접수 당시 초등 4학년 남아로서 모가 이주여성이고 부는 한국인이다. 대상아동의 증상은 학교 등교거부, 위축, 및 불안이었다. 4학년에 시작하여 현재 6학년 이며 1년 10개월 동안 총 64회기를 실시하였다. 한국에 정착하고자 하는 이주여성이 의지할 수 있는 남편을 잃고 또한 자녀가 정체성을 갖고 생존하고 보호받는다는 느낌을 갖고 있는 부의 죽음으로 인해 일시적 적응의 문제가 모래상자치료에 의해 어떠한 변화를 보이고 회복이 가능한가를 알아보고자 하는데 본 연구의 목적이 있다. 연구결과 대상아동은 세상에 발을 딛고 생존할 권리를 회복하였으며 모와 주변의 성인들에게 보호받을 수 있는 권리를 인식하였다. 아동이 보인 증상은 모래상자에 나타난 내용 변화를 통해 검증되었다. 즉, 회기가 진행될수록 등교거부와 움츠림과 위축 그리고 불안 등의 심리적문제를 극복하는 영웅이 등장하고 이를 현실에 적응하여 학교적응을 회복하였다. 생존과 보호에 대해 불안한 마음이 모래상자치료 과정에서 해소되고 모에게서 보호권을 인식하기 시작하였고 주변의환경으로부터 지원받을 수 있는 태도를 형성하였다. 본 연구결과를 통해 다문화가정아동의 생존과 보호 그리고 적응의 문제에 모래상자치료가 효과적임을 알 수 있었으며 아동권리존중의 측면에서 문제아동을 위해 상담이 진행될 필요가 있음을 알 수 있었다.
