세 가지 이분법적 사고 척도의 비교

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 각기 다른 이분법적 사고 척도 세 가지를 비교하고, 이분법적 사고가 여러 정신병리에 미치는 영향을 확인하기 위해 실시되었다. 480명의 대학생을 대상으로 개정판 이분법 사고 지표(DTI-30R; 황성훈, 2007), 이분법 사고 척도(DTI; Oshio, 2009), 섭식장애에서의 이분법 사고 척도(DTEDS-11; Byrne, Cooper, & Fairburn, 2007), PAI-BOR, KEAT-26, 다차원적 완벽주의 척도를 조사하였다. DTI-30R, DTI, DTEDS-11 세 개의 이분법 사고 척도를 비교한 결과, 세 척도들 간의 단순상관은 r=.574∼.632로 높은 관련성을 보였고, 편상관은 r=.304∼.434로 낮아지는 결과를 보였다. 또한 세 척도 중에서 어느 것이 경계선 성향, 섭식 문제, 긍정 및 부정 완벽주의를 가장 잘 예측해 주는지를 단계적 회귀분석을 통해 살펴보았다. 그 결과, DTI-30R은 경계선 성향, 부정적 완벽주의와 같이 비교적 무거운 정신병리에 대한 설명력이 높았다. 반면에 DTI는 긍정적 완벽주의와 같이 비교적 가벼운 정신병리에 대한 설명력이 높았으며, DTEDS-11은 섭식문제에서의 설명력이 높았다. 마지막으로 본 연구가 시사하는 바와 제한점 및 앞으로의 연구 방향을 논의하였다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study is intended to examine the influence of Dichotomous Thinking(DT) on psychopathology, comparing three different DT scales. With 480 college students, scores of DTI-30R, DTI, DTEDS-11, PAI-BOR, KEAT-26, HMPS were surveyed. This study compared three different DT scales such as Revised Dichotomous Thinking Index-30(DTI-30R; Seong-Hoon Hwang, 2007), Dichotomous Thinking Inventory(DTI; Oshio, 2009) and Dichotomous Thinking in Eating Disorders Scale-11(DTEDS-11; Byrne, Cooper, & Fairburn, 2007). The comparison suggested that the correlation of the three scales was high by r=.574~.632, but the partial correlation was low by r=.304~.434. In addition, we used the regression analysis in order to learn which of the three scales is the most correct in predicting borderline tendency, eating disorder, positive perfectionism and negative perfectionism. As a result, the explanatory power of DTI-30R was high in case of pathological, maladjusted, and dysfunctional psychopathology like borderline tendency, and negative perfectionism. On the other hand, the explanatory power of DTI was high in case of less pathological, adaptive, and functional area like positive perfectionism, and that of DTEDS-11 was high in case of eating disorder. Lastly, implications and limitations of this study were discussed and suggestions for further research were proposed.
