인터넷 음란물 노출에 따른 초등학생의 성지식, 성태도에 관한 연구

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 최근 초등학생의 인터넷 음란물 노출 실태가 어떠한지 살펴보고, 일반적 특성, 인터넷 음란물 노출 실태 및 노출 경험 유무에 따라 초등학생의 성지식과 성태도에 차이가 있는지를 살펴보고자 하였다. 이를 통하여 청소년의 올바른 성지식과 성태도 형성을 위한 상담 및 교육의 기초자료를 제공하는데 그 목적이 있다.
연구 대상자는 광주광역시 4개 초등학교 6학년으로 총 536명이었으며, 자료는 2013년 10월 7일부터 10월 23일까지 자가보고식 설문지를 이용하여 수집하였다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS Win 18.0 프로그램을 사용하여 분석하였다.
본 연구의 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다.
첫째, 초등학생의 인터넷 음란물 노출 실태를 살펴보면 연구 대상자의 32.8%가 인터넷 음란물을 접촉한 경험이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 최초 인터넷 음란물 접촉 시기는 초등학교 5학년이 가장 높았다. 음란물 접촉 동기는 인터넷 검색 중 우연히 보는 경우가 가장 많았으며, 접촉 이유 역시 인터넷 검색 중 우연히 보게 되는 경우나 성에 대한 호기심 때문으로 나타났다. 특히 인터넷 음란물은 자기 집에서 혼자 보는 경우가 대부분이었으며, 접촉 빈도는 거의 보지 않는다고 응답한 비율이 높았고, 직접 찾아보는 경우는 드물긴 하지만 실제 찾아볼 경우 한 달에 1∼2회나 일주일에 1∼2회처럼 낮은 비율이라 할 수 있다. 접촉 시간에 있어서는 바로 끄는 경우가 가장 높았고, 보게 되는 경우에 15분을 넘지 않으며, 주로 야한 사진이나 야한 동영상을 접촉하는 유형이 높은 것으로 나타났다. 초등학생 아동이 음란물 접촉에 대한 생각은 그저 그렇다는 것과 매우 나쁘게 생각한다는 것을 통해 긍정적인 생각보다 부정적으로 인식하는 비율이 높음을 알 수 있었다. 또한 음란물 접촉 후 충동 욕구로 없었다는 응답률이 높았다.
둘째, 일반적 특성에 따른 성지식, 성태도 차이를 알아보았고, 초등학생 성지식은 여학생일 경우와 외벌이 가정일 경우 성지식이 높게 나타났으며, 초등학생의 성태도도 여학생일 경우, 생활수준은 잘 사는 편과 외벌이 가정일 경우 성태도가 개방적인 것으로 나타났다.
셋째, 인터넷 음란물 노출 실태에 따른 성지식, 성태도 차이를 알아보았고, 초등학생 성지식은 초등학교 4학년 이전, 타의적 접촉으로, 일정 시간을 보며, 음란물 접촉을 긍정적으로 생각하고, 접촉 후 충동 욕구가 있는 경우 성지식이 높은 것으로 나타났다. 초등학생의 성태도는 초등학교 4학년 이전, 자의적 접촉으로, 일정시간 보며, 음란물 접촉을 긍정적으로 생각하고, 접촉 후 충동 욕구가 있는 경우 성태도가 개방적인 것으로 나타났다.
넷째, 인터넷 음란물 노출 경험 유무에 따른 성지식에 대해 알아보았고, 연구 대상자의 성지식 점수를 비교해보면 인터넷 음란물 노출 경험이 있는 학생의 성지식 점수가 유의하게 높은 것으로 나타났다. 영역별 차이 분석도 신체 및 성심리 발달 영역, 인간관계 영역, 성문화 및 성윤리 영역에서 모두 통계적으로 유의미한 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다.
다섯째, 인터넷 음란물 노출 경험 유무에 따른 성태도에 대해 알아보았고, 연구 대상자의 성태도 점수를 비교해보면 인터넷 음란물 노출 경험이 있는 학생의 성태도 점수가 개방적인 것으로 나타났으며, 통계적으로도 유의미하게 나타났다. 영역별 차이 분석은 성 개방성 영역, 음란물 영역, 신체접촉 영역은 유의미하게 나타났고, 성역할 영역, 결혼 영역은 유의미하지 않았다.
위의 결과를 종합해보면, 초등학생은 인터넷 음란물에 노출되어 있으며 대부분 자기 집에서 일상생활 중에 경험하고 있었다. 인터넷 음란물 노출 경험 유무는 성지식과 성태도에 영향을 주는 것으로 나타났으며, 주로 학습이나 경험에 의해 습득되는 성지식과 성태도가 인터넷 음란물을 통해서도 습득하고 있었음을 볼 수 있으며, 그에 대한 적절한 성교육 및 성상담이 필요하다. 초등학생의 건강한 성 가치관을 위한 정확한 성정보 및 성지식을 얻을 수 있도록 기회를 제공하여 인터넷 음란물에 대한 판단력과 건전한 성태도를 확립할 수 있도록 다양한 개입방법을 모색해야 한다.
또한 유해매체의 범위를 고려한 적절한 통제를 실시하여 건강한 환경을 제공하고, 심리적인 차원의 교육 및 상담을 통해 자기 통제력을 기를 수 있도록 꾸준한 관심을 두어야 할 것이다.
