독거노인의 고독사를 접한 생활지원사의 경험에 관한 연구 = A study on the experience of a life support officer upon the lonely death of the elderly who live alone

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구의 목적은 독거노인의 고독사를 접한 생활지원사의 경험에 관한 본질적 의미를 Giorgi의 현상학적 연구방법을 활용하여 이해하는 것이다. 이를 위해 독거노인의 죽음을 경험한 5명의 생활지원사를 연구참여자로 선정하여 살펴보았는데 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 독거노인의 고독사를 접한 생활지원사의 경험은 ‘고통을 넘어선 인생의 깨달음’으로 최종 분석되었다. 연구주제와 연관성이 있는 155개의 의미단위를 찾아 정리하였고 이것들을 순환적인 분석과정을 거쳐 11개의 하위주제와 4개의 상위주제로 범주화하였다. 그 구성요소로는 ‘종착역에 다다른 인생과의 조우’,‘처참한 주검의 잔상 앞에 고통을 추스름’,‘이별을 겪으며 발견하는 나의 가치’,‘아픔을 넘어 회복으로’로 4개의 상위주제가 도출되었다. 이러한 결과에 기반하여 사회복지실천현장을 위한 몇 가지 실천적 제언을 제시하였다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study is to understand the essential meaning of the experience of a life supporter who encountered the lonely death of the elderly living alone using Giorgi's phenomenological research method. To this end, five life supporters who experienced the death of the elderly living alone were selected as research participants, and the research results are as follows. The experience of a life supporter who encountered the lonely death of the elderly living alone was finally analyzed as 'realization of life beyond pain'. 155 semantic units related to the research topic were found and organized, and these were categorized into 11 sub-themes and 4 upper-level topics through a cyclical analysis process. Four top topics were derived as "meeting life at the end of the station," "pain in front of the afterimage of a disastrous dead body," "my value discovered through separation," and "to recover beyond pain." Based on these results, several practical suggestions were presented for the field of social welfare practice.
