A. Objective of the study
The study researches on the actual condition according to the causes of stress that academic highschool students experience so that it may helpful for the parents and teachers who guide the students. Therefore, the detailed objectives of the study can be stated as following.
Firstly, the study catches hold of the causes of students' stress. Secondly, the study analyzes the causes of an academic highschool student according to their distinctions: their classes, sexes and the dates of birth. Thirdly, the study helps to understand the juvenile delinquency and shows basic data necessary to guide the students in the education field.
B. Methods
6 boys' and girls' high schools in Chungcheng Province are selected and the total 400 boy or girl students in the first or second year are randomly consulted. SPSS 10.0 is used for the method of analysis so that it is possible to analyze the reliability analysis, correlativeness, average and standard deviation, T verification and variable analysis.
C. Consequences
The results of the study are followings.
Firstly, the study shows the causes of the stress that high school students experience are the problem of sleeping, teachers, studies and their school lives in order, and all of them are closely correlated with each other.
Secondly, in terms of sexes, male students are less satisfied than female students are with regard to the school life. In addition, as for the friendship, male students are longing to be looked more attractive to the other sexes than female students and have strong desire to get girl friends. Moreover, as for the self identity, female students feel suicidal impulses more frequently than male students do.
Thirdly, as for the school year, second year students are feeling their classes are boring rather than the first year students are and they have more stress caused by the fear of preparation for the college entrance exam.
Fourthly, as for the problem of teacher, the second year students are feeling higher stress regarding teachers' one sided and oppressive attitude rather than the first year students are.
Fifthly, according to the date of birth, the second child, the first child, youngers than the third child and only child, in order, get more stress in regard with that teachers usually evaluate the students in the respect of only grade.
